When it rains it pours.. boom goes the 6bolt!

So DSM didnt fail me lol.. Ill let the pics speak for themselves.

I first noticed this hole in the front of the block.. and you can see through the oil pan!!

Then I saw what was left of the starter.. so something had to happen in the back too...

Oh hello!! there's another hole... and the attached piece of the starter..

I pulled the oil pan off and with it came the missing chunk of the block.

The team that caused the damage!!

Where is the rest of my piston???

When the rear of the block broke out, it broke the balance shaft which caused the gear to lock up and strip off the teeth on the timing belt.. whihc bent some valves... :l

So after all of that, Engine, Head and tranny (which something broke when the motor locked up cuz in gear it rolls like its on neutral) need to be replace.. When it rains it pours..

That's some real carnage there. Any idea what caused this?

Most likely the center diff blew out. Obviously the car didnt go that far so the rest of the transmission could possibly be ok, unless the center diff drive gear is stripped, then the counter shaft is toast.

Stock internals? How much power?

If its in reverse it holds the car from rolling like it would if it were in a forward gear. It would be nice if the tranny was still ok but the way things have been looking im gonna assume its not so i cant be upset.. lol

stock internals. was supposed to be rebuilt(by previous owner).. so maybe poor assembly? didnt make much power or as much as I would think a scm6152e would make. compression tested low when I got the car.. 390awhp @ db. (shootout mode was 456.7awhp) was quick enough to beat my friends 05 cbr600rr with a passenger in my car tho!!!

if it makes you feel better, that turbo on my old setup was 371 awhp on db's dyno on 111. 29x something on pump. low boost. Man, that was back when you had the stang still!

Aww man that sucks. Awesome pics and good you got to beat up on a bike before it went kablewey. IMHO slap some JBWeld on there and see if it'll hold for a while.

Good luck with the rebuild, parts are common, so that's good.

Just cuz you use JB weld on everything you have, including freezeplugs, doesn't mean it will fix his issues here!

Dsm seems to be ok. I think this was cause by m ends with Ike. Silly noob blaming dsms, I've already heard someone accuse their car of crankwalking this week.

Probably faulty engine assembly by prev owner. Mike is new to dsms, but he's not dumb.

Hahaha.. okay.. sure..!!! the DSM comment was as a joke because everyone says DSM's break so that was my poke at them!! but if want a serious answer, because of everything that broke I dont know what the cause of all this was or where it started..

The piece of engine block that came off the front went through the radiator the piece in the back went through the starter lol.. the head is eff'd as well as the tranny(im gonna stick with it being broke that way if its not I have something to be excited about) lol..
