Lets talk cages and harnesses

Just curious how many people have cages/ roll bars. If so, does anyone have a swing out kit? I was looking into them since I'm so short, it's hard for me to get in and out of the black cherry. I saw a kit on Jegs

And they don't look very structurally sound.
So I'm curious if anyone has had experience with swing outs?

Also, I'm needing to buy some 5 point harnesses. Just curious what brands people have/ like? I was looking into some, but they look difficult to release, as the center is smoothed rather then notched and would be hard to turn. Also, if you do have harness, post pics of the release if you would and if they're PITA

I have it, but no swing outs. I did have a pilot steering wheel, that's like one of those "D" wheels..helps a bit for leg clearance, especially since not only do I have door bars to contest with, but I also have the boulsters from the sparco seats that I literally fall into. For me, getting out of the car is harder then getting in.

That's what I noticed as well. I have Corbeau's in mine. The wheel is fine, it's just akward to step over the bar trying to get out lol

I have swingouts for my cage that hasn't been installed after like 4 years :P The nice thing is that you can leave them out unless you go to the track.

I have no swing outs Kirky seats and RCI harnesses. Its a challange to get in some times but once your used to it you'll go right in. The harnesses are a little clumsy to put on at first, but they come off with one quick pull of the lever.
