I want to clean up the calipers since i'll have them off and paint them yellow!

what is a good rust remover off cast iron, i used wire brush and that worked good on flat areas but not in the corners.

I actually just got down doing that. I used the sandblaster at school. It worked pretty well for the amount of time i spent on it.

i have a sand blaster.. how did you protect the rubber off the brackets or does it pull out?

I blasted mine when I was rebuilding them so they were all apart and I used peices of rags in all the holes to plug them.

You could try brushing on some "Navel Jelly" sold at hardware stores. you will neej rubber gloves.
