Unhappy two and half year project so far.

OK I started off to a good start. Well then I let my girlfriend drive the car. We all know what that leads to. I got this phone call. It was her. She had told me the hood came up. Not knowing what to expect. I went to pick up my car from her friends house. She didnt want to be around when I saw the car. So I arrived at my car. It was midnight. The car didnt look to bad smashed windshild and the roof looked alittle dented. Not to bad I thought. Well I got closer and I could not even sit it the car normaly. The roof was indented that bad with several creases in it. So I hauled the car home. I fixed the roof and decided to primer the whole car. ! As of today I have a 800 dallor hood siting in the trash, replaced the windshild, straitend the roof, filled all the dings with body filler and primed the car. I did all this over this last winter along with install and setup my turbo, msd coil (old coil was shorted), 450cc injector (out of buddy's 4g63t) and a bunch of odd's and end's. I have a couple of pictures of befor (after i punched the roof up) and after the accident. Along with couple of the intercooler and turbo. thanks for looking and tell me what you think.

Re: two and half year project so far.

With no hood pins on the hood, you were asking for that to happen.

I used to own a 420a that I put a turbo on and finally went over to the dark-side a couple weeks ago now. Best decision in my life.

Re: two and half year project so far.

OK that is the best picture of the turbo installed. I have a question. I just recently blew the oil seals out of my turbo. I was woundering if any of you had any luck with the turbo rebuild kit from ebay? I didnt know it they were like their turbos they sell. I bought the turbo from a friend. It is a T04E with a .50 A/R and .63 A/R. Any sugestions will be welcome. Or maybe I should throw it away and get a new one. Then I know wat I got. My gess is that it is a cheap ebay turbo. I paid 50 bucks for the turbo then i piced together a kit. Yes a couple of items were off of ebay. But no problems yet.

Re: two and half year project so far.

Yikes, get a kit from a reputable turbo rebuild place like FP, unless they don't make one for China turbos.
