Plus the dash on this one is easier to look at then the Evo X. It almost hurts my eyes to look at the new dash.
There aren't hardly any of these in the US. There is a L Hand drive version of this car. I don't know why they never showed up here. Or why they haven't showed up yet.

this one is rear sence it is a evo 6.5 tommi mac ed.
but the lhd ones are more rare they were only made for the uk ralli market and not realy sold to the public. the reasion we did not get them because the do not have any safty fetures in them like door crash bars, front and rear bumpers, thin glass all the way around, no emissions

I learned something new, I thought all the Evo 6.5 TME's were red/white.

Re: First Evo X on ebay
the 99's were red any way
Yet another special edition Evolution VI was also released in 1999: the Tommi Makinen edition, named after Finnish rally driver Tommi Makinen that had won Mitsubishi four WRC drivers championships. It featured a different front bumper, Red/Black Recaro seats (with embossed T. Makinen logo), 17" ENKEI white wheels, a leather MOMO steering wheel and shift knob, a titanium turbine that spooled up quicker, front upper strut brace, lowered with tarmac stages in mind, a quicker lock to lock and amongst other colours, came in an exclusive shade of red with special decals, replicating Tommi Makinen's rally car's colour scheme. This car is also sometimes referred to as an Evolution 6½ or Evolution 6.5.

My favorite evo out of them all!! It is pretty much the last of the true
WRC Evolutions. They had one on the cover of sports compact not that long ago. It wasn't as fast as the IX but I think it would still be the one evo to own. Along with a evo 3.
I don't know if it is even posible to turn a Mirage into an Evo VI.
My wall paper!!!

Re: First Evo X on ebay
it is possible to turn on into a evo IV-VI they are just like my car all the mounting points are there to put in the awd system and 4g63 in it. there are a few of the mirage guys that have done it already. But non of them are tommi mac's because of how rare it is to find oem panels from one.
here is one that is for sale it just need to be finnished. It was vis car to start with.
this what it looked like when he bought it before it was taken apart for a rhd swap and awd swap

he is now selling the shell and some parts for 1500.00 if I had the extra cash around it would be sitting at my place

Re: First Evo X on ebay
Why is there only 2 pedals on the EVO X when the ad says it's a 5 spd manual transmission?
EDIT: Nevermind, just finished reading the ad AND noticed that the pics are showing a silver and a red one.

Re: First Evo X on ebay
Looks nice.
Is the first picture what he wanted to make it look like? The bumpers are different so thats why I am asking.
The other question about this swap is how do you get the rear fender flare for the car? Do you have to switch quarter pannels?
Not a bad project to work on.

Re: First Evo X on ebay
