Our 1st Sti Kill!

My buddy wanted to go cruise around Yuma tonight, so he gave me the keys to his EVO and let me cruise around town. Sure enough we ended up at a red light and his buddy with an STi pulls up next to us. We took off just normally but about 2 seconds after we started moving, we here him gun it. So then I gun it, he had like a car lead on us just cuz he punched it like a second before i did. By the top of third we had a car on him, after a couple seconds in 4th i switched lanes in front of him and then me and my buddy celebrated with loud yelling and cheering! The STi is totally stock besides a nice stereo setup. Barry's EVO has a 3" RnR Turboback, mbc set at 19psi, cmasters stg3 clutch, k&n filter, oh and lets not forget his TURBOXS H34 BOV that everyone seems to hate. I'm not Stephen King, I'm sorry if my story didn't have you on the edge of your seat. But it was just pretty fun and thought I'd share!!!

I tried to race a STI last night but by the time I was able to turn around to find him, he was gone. I probably would have lost anyways. Found a few other races that I won though.

Evo's are at 19 stock, but like he said, it drops off up top.

why were you driving? I think if I had an evo I doubt I would let anyone drive it... well mabey if someone was a close enough friend and I think you are like that I guess.

last night going over to qpr to drop off my old trany i saw this big fat woman driving an evo that had some front end damage on it, she didn't take care of it ata all... it was all dirty and starting to rust where it was hit, scratches down the side... it was sad seing that!

btw, nice race.. i can't wait to get my car on the road.. but now i'm just too busy to do that..

He's one of my best friends. If it wasn't for me he prolly wouldn't even own it. We had to get a new dipstick for my eclipse one day, and while we were there I had said sumthin about EVO's, then he was like "What they have an EVO here". About 4 hours later he had the keys! When he bought the car, guess who was the one who drove it off the lot!!! He had to take the stereo outta his truck that he traded in, so while he did that, he let me drive the car off the lot and cruise around for awhile until he was done. When my eclipse was broken, he let me drive his car around if i needed to go anywhere. I mean it's like if your best friend needed to borrow you car, wouldn't u let him? It just happens that the car im borrowing is pretty kick ass!

He even let me drive it to Vegas!! I think he was back in his home state, and I had no vehicle so he let me use the EVO while he was gone. And he let me and my buddy chris take it to Vegas!

cool friend! I just wasn't sure if he was to drunk to drive and wanted to go cruseing or if he was cool enough of a friend to let you drive it around when you wanted to.

I wish I had a friend with an evo that would let me drive it lol.

ya its a pretty badass car. He just got it dynoed. He had 268 and then they spent a little time tuning it and his best of the day was right at 300.

Good run, i have been looking for an sti to race in my evo but no luck at all. Ive seen one on the road and thats it. But i did have some fun on friday night, ran into an srt 4 and had some fun, and then there were some wrx's and stuff that we ran with a few times down on uni. :bounce:

Well friday night holy crazy, was with an evo 8 owner and we found some people to toy with. if anyone remembers the blitz wrx from autovations and the mod list on that thing. well tokk him by about 2/12 cars through the top of 3rd gear and then an sti hopped out in by about two cars off the line we had a shitty launch and a lot of tire spin. took him by about 2 cars wow was he pissed.

that was my wrx and i dont remember it being that bad but what ever it was all in fun and the blue wrx is not an sti its a 2002 regular wrx with exhaust and he took you guys for a good ride kinda funny. i thought that thing would be faster than that as for my car i was on 14 pounds cause of knock do to cold weather and its not that modded exhaust front mount and boost controller thats it. i hope you guys could take it when your running 20 pounds next to my 14pounds.the guy that owned the evo was a pretty cool guy though we shot the shit after playing around.

And go easy on the excuses. If you lost, you lost. If you are getting knock it is not because of the cold weather. Cold air = less knock. Unless you are on the very edge of your fuel system.

YOu thought my evo would be faster ??? In due time it will be but until then, but that was really fun and i hope to see you guys around down there again sweet wrx man. Yeah i did get my arse whooped off the line against that blue wrx, felt like a dumb ass to say the least, was a little rusty on the whole launch thing but made it up after top of second and passed him.
