Re: mitsubishi condones street racing?

I was actually there that night. Wasn't a regular, just kind of stumbled on it. I was either the last or second to the last one let out. It took hours. The police said they were adding my license number to a registry of racers and if I was ever caught in the area of another one I'd be arrested on the spot. Really pissed me off. Not that the racing is really a great idea, but they did at least block off the streets and make sure no unaware cars or pedestrians were in the area.

It's also worth noting that there was a follow up to that story that stated no illegal parts were found on any of the cars.

I do enjoy cannabis on occasions, and to tell you the truth nothing about cannabis has to do with street racers, track racers, or anything else. Weather you or anyone else realizes it or not, medical and recreational cannabis users have been under much of the same unnecessary pressure from the government themselves. For example, much of the population of this country is against "fast cars" that are "designed for street racing." This same biased opinion is applied to cannabis users. If someone is in a sports car, does that mean they are speeding? If someone is consuming cannabis, does that mean they are endangering the lives of themselves or others? I DO NOT think that street racing is a responsible activity. I DO NOT believe that smoking cannabis and driving is a responsible activity. But, I DO believe that if a person is smoking cannabis in a safe and responsible manner, neither you or anyone else has the right to tell them not to.

The uneducated population is the reason that alcohol is legal, and cannabis is not. Do the research yourself. I guarantee you that when you know as much as I do about the subject, that you would agree with me.

Sorry if I am being too real, or serious about this matter. (or off topic =O )

Re: mitsubishi condones street racing?

It is all because of the stupid F&F movies that people think all import car owners are street racers. I run people on the free way in the evo but not a car that I know I will beat. Also I don't start it or go looking for it, but have no problem beating up on some 100k+ cars

You are getting a little to serious, i got no problem with weed, but if you would of cared to read what i said, it was the fact that they were doing it while out at midway around people driving, it makes cops life a lot easier to just tie in the whole car/street racing scene with drugs therefore stepping up enforcement.
TKR is right F&F fucked most of it up, there all kinds of riff raff down there now, it blows.
I also like to blow the doors off some high end cars, i def. don't race anything that i know i will destroy, its no fun.

Please show me this study I would like to see it.

If you would have cared to explain it better I would have agreed with you, but all you said was "Wow, that sucks, all those cars sucked ass and have no business down there, serves them right and the dirty pot head fuckers too." Which is just ignant.

And as I said, sorry if I am bein too serious.

Re: mitsubishi condones street racing?

I wish i had a street racer = (

why do it illegaly friday nights in lacrosse wisconsin durring the summer
5.00 pit fee
5.00 entry fee per event us dsms can get into 3-4 depending on if we have awd or not
30.00 gas there and back and what ever you leave at the track so thats
40-60.00 tops for legal street racing

ticket for illegal street racing
350.00 reckless driving
200.00 tow and impound of your car
5 years of ridiculous insurance rates
spending the night in jail

speaking of lacrosse
when they start that up again next summer i think we should orchistrate a cruise and go out to wisconsin and wax up on some cheddar heads cuz they were all talkin mad crap when i had my sunbird out there but i was puttin em all out. well till the bird lost to the caprice anyway

Re: mitsubishi condones street racing?

Weed is a good example to compare and contrast with street racing.

Both are illegal
Both when used in moderation are completely safe.
When abused, you can die or end up killing someone else.

its a fine line to ride, if you smoke pot once in a while with friends thats cool, if you race in a place where you know you wont run over an innocent kid thats cool.

What really has me pissed off is people who sell drugs in school
-and-
People who race down residental streets in plain daylight, at night is worse enough, but someone raced down my street (30 zone) at like 80mph, this guy needs to die.

This spring a white prelude did just that, he zipped down the street going 80mph, it was amazing that that thing could even get going that fast, but he raced back and forth, like 3 times, if I had a spike strip his ass would be mine.

If he ever comes back there will be a 200lb garden stone in the road waiting for him.
