Re: NFL - The Preseason!
A bunch of nerds I play WoW with are from Texas and wouldn't shut up about the Cowboys last night. One of them made a comment about how awesome the Cowboys are since they were stomping the Colts then someone mentioned it was the preseason. I replied, "So what you're saying is the Cowboys' third string is better than the Colts' third string." He didn't like that.
IMO, preseason is lame. Chances are whatever happens in the preseason games will be wiped off the slate and not matter within the first 2-3 regular games.

Re: NFL - The Preseason!
I've been watching a lot of CFL football on one of my satellite channels, and I now find myself not carrying so much about NFL football. The CFL game is much faster and more interesting. 20 yard deep endzones, 6 yards wider, 10 yards longer, up to 6 wide receivers and only 3 downs. Makes for a lot more passing and no boring runs up the middle. If you are a fan of the west coast offense, you'd like CFL football. Oh yeah, you only get 25 seconds in the huddle, so the game goes faster too.
I watch the CFL games on WorldSport HD. Its on Dish Network. Them Canadians know how to play football, eh?
later,
Curt

Preseason is more fun in the second half. You get to see the players fighting for a roster spot give it their all if the coaching staff calls the plays to allow them to do so. It's a good fix for now, and in 4 weeks I'll be booked up every sunday with my ass on a couch!

The CFL is awesome, and I've been to a Blue Bomber game live when I was younger. Nothing better than some WR coming across on a slant to catch a TD pass only to drop like a brick cause he hit the goal post in the front of the end zone!

Re: NFL - The Preseason!
I think that the preseason is the dumbest thing, they need to do away with it honestly. The 2nd half of the preseason does sort of get better, but post season is the absolute shit, I LOVE it haha.
BTW: PATS WILL WIN THERE 4TH BOWL BABY.

Re: NFL - The Preseason!
The whole point of the preseason is to get warmed up and check out some noobs in a more real situation. It isn't supposed to be like a real game, that is why it is the preseason. You can get a glimpse of how things are coming in the first part of the game though. I have heard Tarvaris is looking pretty good though.

Re: NFL - The Preseason!
Preseason happens alot. Baseball has it too in a way. But eh...its kinda fun to watch. Like said the rooks get to show there stuff. Like tonight the Browns took there first win. Hell's ya what a way to start the foot ball in Cleveland. In a way I am happy for the browns. If they can pull it off next sunday...then I be even more happy.
