Forza Motorsport 2, worth buying?

For those who follow it, as a 360 owner, is this worth buying? I've seen a nice list of card, and it even includes a 2G GSX, but for game play, whould I find myself playing this more than a game like NFS Carbon?

One is a racing sim, one is a jerkoff fanboy tuner game.

depends on what you like i guess.

Re: Forza Motorsport 2, worth buying?

I'm buying a 360 just for Forza, the physics engine is supposed to be AMAZING. I only own a PS2 for GT3 and GT4. I'm giving up on GT5 and going with Forza 2 if that tells you anything. Between the physics engine, the "realistic" damage and the cars Gran Turismo lacks.. I think I'm gonna be happy. If you're into simulators go for Forza, NFS is just a kids game when Forza is more a car enthusiasts game IMO.

I own NFS Carbon. And the lack of the 2g GSX in this game make it suck balls. Besides the game is way to easy. I own it for PC and I don't really say buy it. Unless you want to be like Tokyo Drift style then buy Carbon. But Forza sounds sweet I think there is vids of it up on Youtube too. So if I deside to buy a 360 yes I would get this game.

Re: Forza Motorsport 2, worth buying?

I honestly enjoyed Forza over GT4, forza felt better and car damage just adds to the realistic factor. I will definitely be purchasing Forza 2.

Not that it will happen but we could all pool our xbox 360s together and hoard some tvs and have 360 degrees of forza 2 as you can use up to 8 different views on 8 different xlinked xbox 360s. That would be nuts.

Well I got money down for Madden already, looks like I'll drop some for this as well for pre-order.

Re: Forza Motorsport 2, worth buying?

NFS Carbon was the worst NFS in my opinion. I beat it the first day out, and plus that game is terribly unrealistic compared to FM2.

If you ask me FM2 is a good buy, probably even better of a buy than test drive... Which is also a better game than any need for speed (especially if you have the racing wheel)

Re: Forza Motorsport 2, worth buying?

On a related note, are those racing wheels and setups worth a shit?

Thank Chris, I'll hold out for the new one though. I still gotta spend some time on GoW.

They have a 2g GSX in NFS:Carbon...

You have to unlock it. I got it unlocked. Its quick. I think its FWD though, making it GS-T. Not too sure on the GS-T / GSX its been a while..

The only reason why I said the lack of it. Is because its a Custom car. You don't get to use it in career mode. And yes its a GSX. I'll play NFS Underground 2 over Carbon anyday. Oh and I have the Collector's Edition too. I think EA rushed this one out of the door.

Re: Forza Motorsport 2, worth buying?

If you get the good Xbox racing wheel its bomb. Paddle shifters though, but at least it is wireless and has nice foot peddles. It is worth the 150 bucks, because it is really high quality and feels like it would be from the arcade. You can play with it either on your lap or attached to a table.
