The one's we couldnt walk away from.

Everybody has been in an accident once or twice in there life, some fender benders other more serious where it was hospital time. This thread is to any and all to tell your story, weither it's racing or just out in about and the unthinkable happened.
Ill start, 3 years ago I was a pickup man had a sweet f-350 1ton diesel Power Stoke 7.3 with all the goodies, comming home from a wedding reception on 94w from 394 pooring rain all day and night I didnt drink too much but I was in for a rude awaking, 94w just before 694 and the 252 split I needed to be in the lane for 252n I was in the lane for 94w put on blinker got in other lane but I caught the paint strip with my rear tires and it sent me in a slide tried to correct my self I over corrected and I look down at the speedo and Im doing a little over 60mph, totally sideways on the 252 sliding towards the bridge embunkment for 694 suddenly my plow monts hit the curb grab and send me ass over teakettel but with a roll clearing the passanger side it hits hard on the driver side crushing the hood fender and cab instinlenty seeing a bright light when my head it window and before I knew it it was over. Having landed on all four tires I sit in the seat instently moving my hands and feet making sure I'm not paralized I take a breath a say to my self "I pictured that going differently" my driver door would not open and I tried to slam my shoulder in the door to open thats when I knew something was wrong. Having got out the passanger side, boy it hurt like hell to walk but I got a glimpse of the truck and all the tires were flat and sunk up half way to the rim in mud. I get back in the truck and lay their for a sec. then reaching for where my cell should be , it's not their everything is scattered everywhere. Finally after 20 min's in the rain and I'm really starting to hurt a good sameration stops and call 911 for me and stayed till they got their to this day I still have no idea who it was that stayed with me. Needless to say the Amblance came took me out of the truck in a back board got to North Memorial where they ran extensive test to give me the painfull news that I had broke my back in the c3 and c5 area it was supposed to be a 6 hour surgery ended up be 10.5 hours doctors say I was 1/8th of a millameter away from tearing the spinal cord so after having pins and rods along with metal braces in my back and 5 months wearing a back brace extensive physical theropey and $145,000 in medical bills. Boy that summer sucked. All and all Im fine I can walk jump, "Shift Gears" just fine but it was close.

Here is a video of why not to Street Race, its an eye opener http://videos.streetfire.net/toprate...3c9bd352fd.htm Dedicated to all those who have lost their lives in senceless Street Racing.

Good video, plenty of screwed up cars that were once very nice.

Re: The one's we couldnt walk away from.

Out of all of my accidents I'm happy to say it wasn't because of street racing, just out of poor luck.

When I was young I had a crush on this chick that was like 18 (I was about 10 at the time, hehe), anyway she ended up losing basically half of her limbs because her BF at the time was going too fast in his Dodge Stealth and did a 180 after losing control.

Basically it ended up hitting a concrete barrier in the rear and shot her out of the back and the rest is history. It was kind of an eye opener because she was beautiful and I was young. It was crazy to see something like that happen at such an early age. So I always have that in the back of my mind when I'm about to do something stupid. When I lost control of the 3000GT last Fall all I could remember was that shit, so I try to take street racing seriously.
