You're right. Nobody needs a fully automatic gun. Thats why they are so heavily restricted and expensive. And only responsible citizens have the slightest chance at owning one legally.

WTF are you talking about here and how does it relate? Yes, I know $100 can be a lot of money to many people in 3rd world countries. Irrelavent to this discussion.

Fully automatic weapons are not legal to hunt with. You're talking about a different kind of weapon owner. They are a novelty, a novelty that requires a federal background check and at least $15,000 to get into a full auto weapon. Owning a fully automatic weapon comes with a ton of stipulations. For instance, if there's a violent crime committed with a simular weapon within a radius of your place of storage, the authorities have the right to seize your weapon and inspect it. The people who own fully automatic weapons are not the people you should be worried about. They're also not something you'd use for home defense.

So if an armed felon breaks into your house and wants to kill you for the things you have, you don't think you have the right to defend yourself? Sorry man, but if you want to come into my home and hurt me or my family, expect me to defend myself.

That's exactly correct. We do not live in a third world country. That is why we have the right to protect ourselves.

Re: Myths About Gun Control

When it comes to automatic weapons I can put it out like this, "Accuracy by volume." A simple 3-7 round burst is more then enough to land a hit on target in close quarters no matter how bad of an aim you are. Now would I love to get an automatic weapon for a lot less then they are now? Hells yeah. Although the guys you gotta worry about are the ones who go out and get silencers or if I were allowed to http://world.guns.ru/sniper/sn55-e.htm. For those of you who are arguing though and don't know much or are looking for a new firearm to set your sights on I would use that site.

Re: Myths About Gun Control

You can buy any Remington 700 ADL, BDL, PSS, etc., in .308 and easily be accurate out past 500 yards with ammo you can buy at Walmart. Why don't the anti-gun people fear those weapons?
