My SHIIIITTY summer thus far.

It's long, don’t bitch if you read it. You were warned.

So I have had ZERO luck with ANYTHING car related this summer thus far.

I was working on my Old FWD turbo that my friend took (new motor & transmission) It still doesn't drive. It runs but wont drive. I had to bring it to Mike since I didn't know what to do with it. LINKAGE PROBLEM!

I bought an awd talon, sold it to a friend, lined up a shit load of work / parts. Well the car is sitting at Jet's waiting for the exhaust / IC setup. If it isn't one thing it's another. It was obviously bad timing. Jets busy and was missing some needed parts. I have a transmission for his car laying on the garage floor, still not in the fucking car.

On to Kc’s car. Hah, that is a funny one. The “Open WG car”. Anyways. Wag’z got me the motor back with everything in a SEMI timely manor. They were a week late, but hey! With the given history of waiting, 1week is good. Head? Well the head for the motor is sitting at QPR waiting for mike to fix some shit wrong with it. Might just buy a diff one. Waited to buy parts off some cars but some people were too busy or lazy to actually deliver their end of the deal so who knows. Finally got everything else, had to drive to fucking Appleton WI to get the crap.

Ahhh yes. My car. The famous talon no one has seen and I've only seen twice! Guy i bought it from still has the title, bumper and hood. Sweet, fucking prick. Guy putting the head on doing the timing... Yea well that was supposed to cost 200, case of beer and a weekend. Well its been a fucking month, its costing 500 dollars and I STILL DONT HAVE MY CAR. Meanwhile, My Monte's tranny is about to blow up. Fuck GM. They suck, at least mine does.

Long story short. I HATE TRUSTING OTHER PEOPLE WITH MY CARS OR FRIENDS CARS. It sucks ass and never works out. I swear to god, after I'm done with school, I will NEVER depend on someone else unless I HAVE to. Machine work and such will have to be done elsewhere. Otherwise, I will deal with trial and error. Shit will break fine, but at least it was done and everything is MY fault. There is no direct attacks intended. I just needed to vent.

Curious to see if anyone else had a summer like me.

I forgot to mention the fact that I started college with no financial help so my financial situation is complete garbage.

Special thanks to those of you that have gone out on a limb for me though. I make it sound as if NOTHING has gone right, but that is not true.

-Bernie (4x4superduty) Helped us tear down the block safely and organized.
-Matt R (Alpine TSI) Came down ( even tho he's very busy) and did some wiring
-Nate (dumb_Ricer) spent a long night with us idiots taking out an engine
-Mike (raptor) Countless things, don't even know where to start
-Tauni ( Talongirl) Helped take out a motor, helps out the mental aspect alot
-Eric D (Matchbx) Basically took out my motor, lots of advice over the phone

Agh, there are many people to thank. I didn't even touch on the internet help I've recieved.

and about trusting people with cars, thats why im sure glad Mike is around to guide me in the right direction, and get my cars to move!!!

Try driving a POS monte Carlo Z34 that keeps breaking. That will teach you never to buy a non boosted pos again. Bad gas mileage, slow, ugly, unreliable.. I'm missing anything good about it.

*shrug* My '91 Grand Prix is doing just fine, 170k on the clock. Needs plugs and wires, but that's it. Gets in the mid-20s for mileage. Don't drive it like a racecar and it'll treat you good.

I was going to stop by on friday but I had to get back for work. This coming weekend when I'm up there I will make sure to swing by and chill for a bit!

I don't even want to start with my summer DSM luck. Lets just say the copper car broke a cam sensor wheel hopping on the 20g, decided to go 1g head route, got 3 (bad supposed to be good) heads, a 6 bolt which was gone over (140-140-130-90) with a bad head, blew the HG twice as the head was warped, race head was put on and TB was tightened by someone else (bad valves), put on 2 more heads before giving James my good head and now his turbo is gone. He purchassed all the heads from people on here and they are all sitting in the garage. Waste of money. We have been screwed by several local people this summer...The above work with the heads and motor was all done in the span of 1.5 months where shit just kept going wrong.

Sounds like a Good Guy/Bad Guy forum is needed so non-locals like me don't get screwed if we purchase something from one of the locals.
