Key for 97 Galant

Hey, a friend needs a new key for a 97 Galant ES. She said it has a chip in it or something? I don't know, but would you need the VIN to make that key, and how much would it cost? Thanks Chris!

NO chip... lucky for her..

All i need is a title or insurance card , with her name and the vin number on it and a photo id. then she needs to come in It takes me like 5 mins and costs $6.50 per key...
