I was in the living room, just woke up, and saw the second plane hit. Something I wish I could forget and get out of my memory, but will be engraved forever.

I remember going to Brown Institue, which is about 2 miles out from the main terminal of the MSP Airport. On a normal day, we would see and hear a plane every 2 minutes or so. We heard nothing for 2 weeks. Very creepy.

It happened when i was in 10th grade in my english class, but we didn't get to see the TV and stuff until next period, which was history. It just seemed...unreal at first, then it started to seep in as we spent the period watching the news reports.

I was in my most dreaded class in 12th grade, Calculus. The seriousness of it didn't really hit me until later.

I was at school, back then i was at Dunwoody Institute. I remember hearing about it in class and was like wow. I didn't get to see any footage until luch. about a hundred people were watching the news inside the cafeteria in awe. I have family in New York city so i was worried about them. It wasn't until the initial shock of the situation wore off that the real affect of the huge loss of life really got to me. Now everytime i hear audio or see any video of what happened i get upset. All those people gone! Why? I wonder if we will ever find out the REAL story. The stuff the government doesn't want us to know.

I was in Pensacola, FL in the middle of class. Once it happened they locked us all up in the radar lab and we sat there and listened to the radio cuz we had no tv. Didn't get to see the news until lunch time. I was freaked out, was pissed at myself for joining the marines cuz I didn't wanna go to war. But war wasn't so bad for me. I remember sitting there watching Scirbble Jams videos in our A/C maintenance van thinkin about how different war is today then it was when my parents were my age.

I was only a couple months into my new position at TCF, didn't really know everyone around me. News got out that the WTC was hit by a plane, so a couple of people turned on a radio, and the one of the executives who had an office near our desks brought out a black and white 5" television. We watched replay after replay of the first plane hitting the towers, then we saw one of them disappear. It was hard to tell what exactly happened and what was going on because the reception sucked. The radio confirmed what was going on. A few of us were also trying to access news sites on the internet, but they were all flooded and unable to be reached.

Once the local government got word of what was going on, the state capitol was locked down, and the downtown Minneapolis government buildings were sealed up, the IDS tower was evacuated and closed. The TCF tower is right next to the IDS, and we too were told to leave. This was before noon, and my car was in Burnsville at the park & ride. Luckily I worked with someone who had to drive down that way, so I had a ride to my car, but still had to drive home to Owatonna. All the way home I listened to the news on the radio, and Jesse Ventura even gave a little speech on KDWeeB on what actions the state government was taking.

Later that afternoon almost everyone was rushing to the gas stations in fear of gas prices skyrocketing. I had to bowl in a league that evening, and there were cars backed up for blocks at every gas station in town... Quite an amazing sight to see. I was even called an idiot for thinking that there was no big deal in not needing to get gas that evening.

I woke up hung over and turned the TV on at Jet and my house in Woodbury and saw what was unfolding. I didn't believe it for the first 10 minutes. Then I was like WTF. This is real. I watched for like the rest of the day, not a day that I want to remember but I can still recall what I was feeling watching that shit.

This is alot like our parents and the JFK assassination. They ALL remember exactly where they were when they heard about it. This is something our generation wil take with them the rest of their lives and tell future generations about.

I was in the same place that I am everyday, behind my work bench at work assembling and disassembling hydraulic pumps and motors. We heard about it on the radio and at first it sounded like a plane that had lost control and crashed into the WTC. But then when the second one hit, and the others hit the pentagon and the field in PA, we knew what was really going on.

It was kinda hard for me because I had just moved back from MD in February. I immediately called the guy I worked with out there to make sure he and his family were allright. Did you know that one of the songs that had come out just before this happened was taken off the radios out there. It was Bodies by Drowning Pool. No radio station out on the east coast would play that song for many months after that.

There is a very well done DVD about the events of that day that came out a while back. It is called In Memorium. It is a very well done documentary. They show alot of amatuer footage and newscrew footage of what happened.

I was in 9th grade in my Foods class. They didnt turn the TV on until after the second plane had already hit and same with lots of other people, it wasnt a real big deal for me until later on when everyone at school was talking about it. I keep thinking its only been two years since it happened.

I was at my old job at Vibestech. Someone brought a TV into the conference room and we were watching in horror not sure of what had happened. The president came in and told everybody to go back to work and it was nothing. We did end up watching most of it that day, not much work was going to get done anyways. I spent the next few days reading every possible story linked to it on my computer at work. I still can't believe it happened.

Go get 'em Bush.

I was sleeping as usual. The owner of the shop I worked for had called and woke me up to tell me a plane had hit the WTC.I leaned over and turned on the TV, where I saw a live shot of the 2nd plane hitting the other tower.I was half asleep, it took me like 5 min to realize I wasn't dreaming. It was certainly one of the strangest experiences I've ever had. Then listening to the radio on the way to work, they were reporting dozens of hijackings(false of course), certainly a memorable morning.Odd thing was, I had just read an article days before on Osama, how he offered cash to those who killed americans in places such as Yemen and the possibilty of terrorist attacks inside the US.

I was on my way to school, just thinking bout what homework i would have to doin school that day. My mom had on the radio and i just figuerd it was just an accident. But when i got to school everything just went haywire. Classes were pretty much dull cuz the teachers were preoccupied thinking bout the crashes. We watched alot of the footage in the lunch room. A really sad and depressing day.

I was working on a Galant window regulator at work when Tom B. from the KQRS morning show said a small plane had hit one of the WTC towers. Someone from my work (Metro Mitsu) said they had footage of the burning building on CNN in our customer lounge. When I got to our lounge I saw smoke coming out of about 40 square feet of three stories. Right as I said it doesn't look that bad the camera panned back and showed the real devistation. It turns out that I was looking at where a little piece of shrapnel had hit.

At that moment we saw the second plane hit the other tower live hmy:
At first I thought it was footage of the first plane hitting untill it neared the WTC and you could see the other tower burning already. At that point my stomach tied in a knot and I went and vented some serious anger.

A little while later my co-worker came running by yelling about an explosion at the Pentigon. At that point I did not know what to expect next. All in all it was a horrific day for most Americans and it has changed my outlook on many things happening around the world today.

And the worst part was my stupid liberal freinds that night saying we did this to ourselves and it was all because of our foriegn policies. BULLSHIT

Me and my friends took pictures in Owatonna that night of the lines for the gas stations. All these people running to go fillup with $5.00 a gallon gasoline. I dont remember exactly how expensive it was, but I know one place was selling at $5.00.

They called me an idiot also for not getting gas. The next day I called them idiots for paying over double the price.

Hard to comprehend, my cousin actually worked in NY just blocks away. As soon as the first one hit, she was evacuated. She was so stunned she walked 4 miles home. She said it was one time where everyone in New York was equal. She walked past some rough neighborhoods, and there was no mugging, everyone was just set to equal. She said she had never felt so safe in the city and so scared in the country at the same time.

Some things just make me want to go off and change the world, and I plan too.

Stupid ignorant bastards... I told them they might as well join the Mujahadeen.

I was in my car heading for a customers to install a T1 and router when it came over the radio. The first plane had already hit and they still thought it was an accident since there was no info. Then as I pulled into the parking lot, the second plane had hit and it was obvious what was happening. I sat and listened to them talk about the other highjackings that they knew of and remember the saddest feeling about what the people might be thinking of, if they knew of the other planes etc. Spent a long time praying about it then went in and found everyone watching it on TV's. I watched for a bit then finished my work and went back to the office. At the office I remember one thing very clearly, the owner of the company emailing everyone to say that while it was tragic and all, we were still a company and needed to make money so not to be distracted. Never have I lost respect for someone so quickly in my life.
