Announcing RallyFest 2004

The Ojibwe Forests is pleased to present RallyFest! A celebration and demonstration of Performance Rally in the upper midwest on Saturday, August 14th at the Corcoran Lions Park, from noon to 6 p.m. We will have food and refreshments, music, vendors, rally cars on display and demonstration runs throughout the afternoon.


We are doing this on the saturday before the rallycross that will be taking place at the Corocoran Lions Park instead of the Wednesday before the PRORally. We want to hype it up a little before the event to get more people up there. We had a pretty large turnout at last years Rallyfest and they thinking about doing close to the same format this year. Not sure about if the Pirelli girls will be there this year but you never know. If you want to come out and check out some of the rally cars and see them spinning around the course a little, come out on the 14th. Obviously I'm going to be there along with many others. We had a pretty good showing of DSMers last year so lets try to do the same or more for this year!!!

I might check this out. I wanted to go to last year's event, but I wimped out because it was on a Wednesday.

Maybe I'll put All Mitsu Cookout flyers on all the DSMs. :dsmrule: It will be the next weekend.

We will be there if we don't go to the Shootout, which is a big possiblity.

During the demonstration runs, there are possibilities of getting an "instructional ride-along" in one of the rally cars. I'm sure if you speak to Mr. Utecht, he would let you ride along on one of the runs.

Hope to see a bunch of you out there. And remember, the rallycross is the day after that at the same location.

I'll probably be there since it doesn't look like I'll be going to the shootout. I was really impressed with last years event! Very nice.

Since there are no manufacturers racing this year, I don't expect this to be as big as last years. It'll still be fun, but more of a local type of show. I'll have the Porsche there, and since I have hundreds of requests for rides at the moment, I can't promise anything, but come see me if you're interested. you can't miss the car, it's a yellow 911 rally car.

Hmmmm. Last year was a GREAT time. But, without the major manufacturers showing up this year there wont be all the cool free handouts. I may still go, depends on whether I finish the beast on Friday or not.

It's at the Corcoran Lions Park in Corcoran, MN. It's also the Hennepin County fairgrounds. I believe it's on the corner of 101 and county rd 10. Corcoran is just south of Maple Grove. I'll get better directions tonite when i have time to look them up.

So what if the manufacturers aren't out there. HotWheels is still sponsoring ProRally this year!!! They, along with many others will have booths set up out there. And besides, it's rally. It's another excuse to play in the dirt!!!!! :rally:

I believe he meant noon to 6pm. I think that's what we discussed at the last meeting.

Anyways, come on out and see some of the fast cars playing on dirt. Then if you want to, come out and watch the little guys out racing at the same venue on sunday (I'll be one of the little guys racing then) in the rallycross.
