HELP!! Again... issues on startup

ok as some of you may already know i had a bad head gasket, so i tore my engine down and replaced it, the i saw a piston was eaten up around the edge of it so i replaced that. now with it all back together every time i go to start it cold it it dose not run right. the first time u turn the key it will turn over and it dose not seem like it's firing then if u try it again it will start right up but not want to idle, so once it kills itself if u try it again then it will start and idle fine, but not wanting to let it just idle i go to hit the gas a little and when you do that it wants to die unless you feather the throtle just right. let me know what you guys think. thanks for the help.

its kinda a blured picture but here is the piston

Sounds like a fuel pressure issue imo.

at this point i would kinda tend to agree but i have a narrow band air to fuel gauge and it indicates as if all was good but it also could be hooked up wrong, i didn't hook it up the last owner did. now could i still have a fuel pressure issue if this is indicating right?

Check your CTS sensor. Make sure it's hooked up and none of the wires are broken

Re: HELP!! Again... issues on startup

that is the one right by the radiator cap, right? when i was hooking everything up i noticed the a wire on that was broken now i just went to the local hardware store and got little tiny "blades" female side and put them on the wires and hooked it straight up. so there should be no problem there.

both of the sensors on the thermostat housing are connected and no loose wires, i just hope i don't have to replace them
