Garage Mod #3: bumpin tunes

Just thought I'd post a follow-up to this thread I posted long ago:
http://mitsustyle.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11419

I had some speakers that I got from a roommate at the place I lived before I bought my current house. They've sat doing nothing but hold a cheapo radio and a wrench from time to time. My neighbor just got a fancy new onkyo hdmi receiver and a light bulb went on in my head when I was looking at his new one:

me: 'what was wrong with your old one?'
him: 'the display doesn't work...really annoying when flipping radio stations or trying to do anything besides turn it on/off'
me: 'oh yea? how much you want for it'
him: 'if you carry it, you can have it!'

zing! Behold, new garage stereo!

I don't want pesky thieves having an extra reason to come in, so I stuck it in a cabinet on a wall, and tucked all the wires away all nice:

So, I just keep the doors shut and open one to flip it on/off whenever I want to listen to 93x Came with a remote that goes on the tool box, which has a seek function, so as long as I don't get a hankering to listen to cds, I'm in good shape

LOL matt had to about amputate one of his legs after riding that thing at DB! We call it the scooter-o-death! I took the aftermarket exhaust off of it and am thinking about putting the stock carb back on it so it's a little more tame

It needs training wheels and a roll cage, too.

Screw that! If the rider can't handle the massive power, it's their own fault if they die, or lose a limb.

I was turning around in the parking lot at decent speed, it started wobbling and I went ass over tea kettle. I'll stick to four 8" wide contact patches from now on.

Damn you! A TV has no place in the garage unless you're kicked out for the night! I have a futon for that (see above pics) Maybe after I get a kegerator and a heater I'll go for one of these.

Haha ^

Looking good Scheides! You can look at that as an investment to style kinda, since you do have the "style members garage"
