Buschur's RS goes 9.7 on pump and 9.1 on race gas!
http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=368623
Freaking WOW! 9.7@144mph on pump gas
9.1@155mph on race gas.
On an HTA35R, and reminder, this car is NOT gutted at all! I don't even think it has a cage!!!

No cage, I think at most it's missing the guts in the trunk, this is the car he claims to daily drive.

Ya, it's an RS so no spare, no trunk lining, just the carpet and a box under it in the spare tire well to keep it flat for his kid's book bags!

Is this the bolt on/mitsu housing or T3 housing? I didn't find it in their post.

Only turned it up 7psi for race gas? They must add a lot of timing or something, nice runs.

Re: Buschur's RS goes 9.7 on pump and 9.1 on race gas!
RRead some more, turbo is not a HTA35r, but a custom T3 with spool similar, but way better top end above 6500rpm.
The support for the evo's is amazing. It kind makes me want to get one, imagine how fast i would go.

It's an off the shelf HTA35R with a custom tubular manifold kit. He saw some marginal gains when switching from their standard tubular kit, plus it's way bling :P

Taken from this post, http://forums.evolutionm.net/showpos...3&postcount=54
"The last thing that I didn't want to touch on but now that I have been asked is, "What turbo is on the car?" Well, I swapped it out from the HTA35r to something else a week ago when I was doing my pump gas tuning. Regretably I did not release this information because I am sick to death of doing testing and then posting the results just to have other shops jump on the band wagon and start selling/pushing the same thing. I am NOT releasing ANY information on the turbo that will let that happen. The market is extremely difficult right now and the copy cat shops need to be put down like sick dogs. I will say it is still a small turbo, T3, the spool up is nearly identical to the HTA35r with more power over 6500 rpm. I found it while testing combinations the week before last. I have them, they are for sale and anyone who wants it can send me a PM for more information. I will not give out ANY specific information though. If you can't bring yourself to buy something from me based on my word, it is not the turbo for you. Sorry, the time has come to protect my business in manners such as this and keeping my testing out of the hands of other shops is the biggest step in the right direction I can take. We have named the turbo, we call it the FS635."
Sorry homes

31psi on pump gas? Wow. E85 no problem, but pump, I'd be nervous. But then again, Buschur has nothing but time to dyno for free and guys to R-n-R his crap if he blows it up.

Re: Buschur's RS goes 9.7 on pump and 9.1 on race gas!
I have seen and heard of people running more then 40psi on a standard SCM 61 style turbo, so I would think this custom with a "K" 35r style turbo could put out a little more then high 30s for boost, but it walks the walk so who cares, I was just saying, why not run that boost on pump?
~John
He did not say he was running 40psi in the post but I know how that goes.
"5th run, changes again. I started to turn the boost up. We had been running 36-38 psi up to this point on the race gas. I wanted to work up to 40 psi. Sixty foot on the next run was the best ever, 1.402! The car runs a 9.111 at 154.76 mph. Outfknstanding!
6th run, few very small changes. Now this is crazy, the track was starting to get a little slippery again, sixty foot was 1.47 and the car runs a 9.25 at 153.88. We all look at each other disapointed! hahaha A 9.25 and we were disapointed, oh the irony.
7th run and final pass was a 1.46 sixty foot and the car clicks off another 9.18 at 154.78 mph.
Overview. 9.72 and 9.78 on straight pump gas at 144 mph."
