GT5 Prologue
So who went out and bought GT5 Prologue today. I know I DID. I went on my lunch, then went home and played a little. That game is FREAKIN sweet. I cant wait to go home and play some more tonight. The graphics are crazy. Played from the in car cam and for once i finally used the rear view and side mirrors! 10/10 worth every penny.
So who else got the game today, 16 player online is going to be nuts. we gotta get a DSMStyle race going sometime.

Re: GT5 Prologue
Hell no, its only for the PS3. Its the forza killer for sure.
I see the 33% fail rate on the 360 is really hurtin you.
Fail Rate of PS3 = <1%
Fail Rate of 360 = 33%
Total Win for PS3.
Microsoft needs to stick to Operating systems.... maybe they just need to be buried.

Re: GT5 Prologue

Your doing a whole lot of gaming now eh?
Reasons to go with PS3:
Blu Ray player
Media server player
More room for advanced games with the higher storage disks.
<1% fail rate means you have a good chance of actually being able to PLAY with the system.
Free Online gameplay.
GT5
Do i need to go on?

Re: GT5 Prologue
My main question is can you upgrade more than just performance and wheels in GT5? Damage? It looks pretty nice, but it isn't really fun to me unless you have those factors.

Like body kits? This aint need for speed, Ricers not welcome! And why would you EVER put a body kit on a Ferrari.
Damage i think will be coming with the full GT5. But not sure.

It was a question. Maybe it is nice to be able to have a different hood on a car for once. Or get rid of some gay ass spoiler. Or maybe a top secret front end looks better on a Supra. Didn't need an asshole relpy.

Im sick of racing games giving points and other crap for ricing out your freakin car. Its fucking annoying. Ive played those need for speed games and every time i make a car i dont do shit to the body so i never get the "rep" or "props" or "wiggles". Its a total downward spiral. They have tuner cars on there that you can buy from Amuse, Blitz, and a couple others, buy those if you want a body kit.

They already had a demo version that was able to be downloaded, with 1 track and 10 cars.
Its a Pre-Game before the larger more robust game comes out. Its $40.
They will keep updating this game with new tracks, new cars and content up until the real GT5 comes out (right before xmas).
Its more to get your mouth wet and your pants.

Re: GT5 Prologue
hell no, way better gaming console, even for the price difference. Plus the price alone for having a blue ray player is a great deal.

Its totally worth it! plus it will get you ready for the full release. Who knows maybe they will be nice and offer Upgrade pricing. (doubtful)

Re: GT5 Prologue
Cool, I will have to look into picking a copy up.
Does it have the physics of Forza though? I never played it, but when I watched Demos on Forza looks like they put A LOT of time into the physics engine. As in your car has wear to it in everyway like a real life car would.
Or is this game where you can just slam on the brakes and it has no effect to tire tread, tire heat, brake heat, etc?

Re: GT5 Prologue
Knowing the folks that make Gran Turismo it will be just like real life. Currently they dont have performance parts upgrades but will be doing updates with new content very often. Check out this chat transcript with the games developers http://boardsus.playstation.com/play...d=20&jump=true its really informative as to where Prologue is going.
The reason they even have a prologue instead of releasing the game is to get the users input as to what they want to see, so its like a beta but better. It makes sure that the end result is going to be the most kick ass driving game you can find.
The GT-TV is going to be cool as well having the show Top Gear playing and such. I love that show.
