pop up head light replacement

1991 talon tsi awd.

I just bought some silverstars for it ( the entire lamp for both sides hi / lo ) and I do not see how they mount up. This should be a very simple thing considering other things I've done with these cars but I need my damn headlight to work and I'm afraid ill take it apart and make the situation even worse lol.

I looked through Vfaq slightly and saw nothing about this. Has anyone done this? Ever used silver stars? It seems they don't have any sort of mounting bracket on them. Perhaps I take the mounting bracket for the screws off of the other one and put it on this one but it did look like it was attatched to the other head lamp.

Pop up the lights and remove the outer plastic shields. I can't remember but I think there's also a metal cage in there in which the headlight sits. If not, you should be able to get to it by pulling the light out the front and setting the new one in. There's 4 adjustment bolts and a spring that holds it in if I remember right.

Re: pop up head light replacement

It was easy. The bracket wasn't actually part of the light so I just swapped out the lamp and it's done. The lights are sexy too. I can see alot more now.

Yeah, those old style lights really suck nowadays.
