Met my goal at the track today... 11.97 e.t.

Well...my goal has been met, which was 11.99 or better. I went to the Rock today and my first run of the day was my best of the day. 11.97 @ 115mph. This was with the 50 trim @ 25psi. Air temps were good for this run but they quickly went up throughout the day. The head wind got worse as the day went on too with 10-20mph gusts. 60' was 1.70. Not bad for cheap $200 Wanli's. My best is 1.64 on them. I suppose with a couple more psi of boost and a really cool day, I should maybe go 11.80's without issue. It don't really matter though as my goal was met. An aftermarket FPR would help with the consistancy on tuning too. I'm still on the stocker FPR.

60' 1.704
330 4.951
1/8 7.666
1/8mph 93.88
1000 10.006
1/4 11.977
1/4 mph 115.17

Timeslip is attached.

Thanks to all those who have provided me with help on this board!! You're a big help...

Thanks. No clue on the HP. Never dyno'd it "YET". Dsmlink calculates close to 400hp on that run but the keyword there is 'calculates'. A couple weeks ago, i was debating on getting a bigger turbo but since this 50trim put me in the 11's, i'm keeping it.

Thanks alot Steve.

There's more in it yet. For some reason i'm getting about 3 deg. of knock in 3rd & 4th gears. This is my first time trying CAM2 Purple 112 octane. My only thoughts are is that maybe 112 just isn't enough for 25 psi. The fuel was newly boughten Saturday.

Nice run!

Doesn't it feel great to when you set a goal and then reach it. Now you need to raise the bar (boost and goal )

Yes, it felt dam good to reach the 11 second club. A few years back it seems if you were running 13's, you were really something and then that became common. Many people are running 12's now. It just seems like you have to run 11's or better nowdays to even stand out anymore. I'm not sure about setting new goals. If anything, it would only be down to 11.50 because i'm not gonna throw a cage in the car.

112 is fine for 25 psi on most DSM setups. I like C16 for the real boost though.

Re: Met my goal at the track today... 11.97 e.t.

Yea for some reason though Sunday i was getting 3 to 3.5* of knock in thru 3rd and 4th gears. Coolant temps were a bit hot though at 210 and 213 thru the traps. I think coolant temps may also give an indication of whats going on in the combustion chamber also.

A few weeks back when i went and got only 1 run in due to rain out, I had some Sunoco Maximal. That's 116 octane. I didn't have any problems then. I only had a couple gallons left so i just mixed it in with the CAM2 112oct.

Probably engine temp is all i can assume at this point.

If your knock count is high and your coolant temps are high your are detonating, turn the boost down, octane up, or timing down.

Great run's, it is awesome to reach goals (I hope I hit mine this weekend).
