Re: Control Traffic Lights?

Those would work in the twin cities. Unfortunately all our traffic lights are timed.

That doesnt matter. Its the same kind of strobe an emergency vehicle uses to interrupt the normal light sequence.

I don't believe ours are strobe controlled. I've lived in MN before and I know that your lights and ours are different. Besides which, many times I've seen fire trucks and ambulances slow down and proceed through a red light here. My town is 1,200 people. We're not high tech by no means.

Can't you just flash your lights to get them to change too? I tryed and I got the warning light to light up but it didn't change the lights to green.

Re: Control Traffic Lights?

Neither you nor your headlights are capable of producing the proper strobe effect to make them work.

Re: Control Traffic Lights?

Sometimes they use radio frequency instead, but all cities should have this on their permanent stoplights (ie not hanging). Sometimes it doesnt work quickly enough (or at all) and they have to slow down to get through the intersection.

Re: Control Traffic Lights?

I would think the punishment for messing with the stop lights would be more than a ticket....I would almost charge it as a felony. Think of all the pile-ups he could've caused. Or, what if some little kid was running to school, and this dumbass changed the lights cause he wanted to get a "good parking spot", and WHAM! He pile drives the kid into oncoming traffic. I dunno, ass flakes like this should be stoned and forced to drive on bicycles with no seats!

I'd definately buy one though
