Re: AFPR Problems
Do you get pressure on the gauge on the FPR? (Did you put one in?)
Have you primed the system? Odds are when you put in the fpr the rail got drained and there is not fuel in the system.
Did you bump/disconnect anything else while you installed the fpr?

Re: AFPR Problems
yes, only because you've drained the system when you pulled the stock fpr off the rail. Double, triple checked? Does that mean you checked like 6 times? lol

Re: AFPR Problems
well the only thing i can think of is somthing to tune it with but it should still atleast start, and the fuel pressure is at 43psi, and as for running it ran for like 30seconds with the new stuff in at a rough idle but i expected that, then it quit and shut down and now wont start, no codes came up and no check engine lights either, and the only reason im asking for help is because ive not used these fuel upgrades before and ive been working on this for awile.

Re: AFPR Problems
How about this..... Did you use anything to TUNE YOUR CAR for those sweet 880's you got? Did the car ever run w/ the new injectors and FPR? What's your fuel pressure? How are your lines hooked up? What did you "square away" when you put it all in? Usually information like this is good when you want other people to tell you what's wrong w/ your car. Despite how many times you've double, and triple checked, you obviously are missing something and everything isn't "right"

Re: AFPR Problems
Your car isn't going to run if you don't have anything to control your TWICE THAN STOCK SIZED injectors. I'm gonna GUESS that your fuel pressure was low enough before you set it to BARELY run the car.

Re: AFPR Problems
When you set it at 43psi, did you have the vacuum port disconnected on it? I'm assuming this is a 2g since you have it set at 43psi. You should have the vacuum line disconnected when setting it to 43. Then when you plug it back in, the pressure should go down some since you are in a state of vacuum.
And are you saying you have nothing to tune with? You just threw 880's in and figured it'll be just fine without any changes?

Re: AFPR Problems
I know it needs somthin to be tuned with that would be why i asked what is the best for this, did you not read the last post, And yes this is the first time ive put somthing like this in so fuckin chill, you obviously didnt wake up one morning and know how to install a whole fuckin fuel system in one night we all learn some where, hence why im asking, I would appreciate if you would just tell me what im doin wrong instead of giving me shit for not doin it right , not trying to be a prick but I dont like being talked down to just because I dont understand somthing.

You are being talked down to because you jumped in way over your head and don't know what you are doing. Most people do some research before they start buying random parts.
I am with Steve, put your 450's back in and run the car. What year is the car? If it is a 2g, get DSMlink. A 1g is a bit more difficult, a Eprom ECU and SAFC is probably the best bet though. What turbo are you running where you need 880's? What other mods do you have?

Re: AFPR Problems
When I started typing, the latest post was post #8, so no I did not read the previous posts.
But you know what, screw you. Figure the shit out on your own. I wasn't trying to be a dick. I was telling you how to set your base fuel pressure correctly because that is important, and asked if you were using nothing to tune with because it hadn't been made clear by post #8 which was the latest post when I started my reply. I'm perfectly chill. If you think my responce was harsh, well then you need to rinse the sand out of your vagina, because that was hardly harsh.

Re: AFPR Problems
At the risk of being insulted, I'll offer my opinion.
If you didn't know you needed a tuning device for those injectors you will not have the knowledge required to use the tuning devices needed for them. Perhaps if they were small enough to use a SAFC.
I'd suggest a keydriver chip + SAFC. Then again, someone with more tuning experience will probably chime in. Perhaps you could use a more complex setup in a basic mode...
I dunno.

Re: AFPR Problems
Put in your stock injectors if you want to drive it. When your computer pulses fuel thinking it has 450's and you actually have 880's, you're dumping fuel like crazy. If you keep dicking with it as is, you'll wash your cylinders down and need a ring job. :rtfm:

Re: AFPR Problems
Ok, put the 880's back in then
how are the lines routed on your FPR? you need to check everything that I listed above again. Installing a FRP isn't this complicated, or hard. Unless your swifty

Re: AFPR Problems
If it's still not running, then perhaps there's a possibility that you've already flooded the motor?
