Towing junkers away for free!

Aaron and Brandon gave me the number of a guy to haul away my parts shell and I figured I'd post it up here for the rest of you guys. This guy was super nice, came quickly and best of all, hauling away a totally stripped shell is FREE! I called some other guys out of the phone book and they wanted $75, screw that.

His name is Joel. Number is 763-360-3284. Tell him I sent ya.

Re: Towing junkers away for free!

Definitely came across as a nice guy. He was HAPPY to take that shell away. Good deal for both parties. Wish I would have known about him when I was ditching the Colt shell.

Re: Towing junkers away for free!

I don't have any numbers, but I've been paid to send cars away with scrap dealers and that was before metal prices were so high. You should be able to make some cash and still have it hauled away.

Re: Towing junkers away for free!

I mainly try to collect aluminum parts and take them all in at once. One hell of a way to get some money. Usually find some stock bent aluminum wheels and heads and make around $300 or more.

Re: Towing junkers away for free!

I'm sure I could've hauled it myself and got some cash, but I just wanted it gone without having to pay, and it was STRIPPED. The last guy wanted $75, or a catalytic converter to go with it. I've still got a few of them I have to turn in for some cash.

Trailer it away or do they tow it away? I have something that needs to be removed.

Re: Towing junkers away for free!

He had a flat bed trailer he hauled it away on. It's got a winch to pull whatever you have, up onto the flatbed. He told us the last car he took away had no wheels. He just drug the bitch up on the trailer with the whinch!

Speaking of hauling away junkers, where are some places to recycle aluminum?

That's awesome! He needs promotion all over the internet. MNSCC, tcstangs, etc. I think that's a great way to get more business.
