New to the area, want to get some more experience
Hey, I just moved to downtown mpls, and I'm looking for a way to get involved with the DSM and Import scene.
I wanted to get into this back in Iowa, but never had the chance before I moved. Now that I'll be here for awhile, I want to get more involved with my car. I've had a few basic mods done to it, with the help of my friend Mike down in Ames, but I want to learn more and be able to make modifications myself (tuning, replacing parts, maintenance, etc).
So far for performance mods it has a 2.5" downpipe/test pipe, 3" thermal catback, Greddy 24R FMIC, FP Big T28, ported along with manifold and tubular O2, 650 injectors, new intake piping, SAFC, 2100lb clutch, 18" rims, and a couple other minor things.
I'm wanting to get a 2.3 motor eventually, 50 trim turbo setup, new intake manifold, things like that. My goal is around 400 at the wheels eventually.
Here are some pictures that were taken before the exhaust or FMIC were put on

Welcome! I currently live in Ames but am from Decorah. When you say Mike, are you referring to Mike Clark? If so, didn't he used to have a 2.3/Haltech/FP Red monster?

Welcome!
We have a member who might be able to help with your performance goals: CVD
He is/was parting out a 1G with a 2.3 and 50 trim.

He used to post on NABR and I used to browse Dragsource once in a while. I don't know him personally, just know of him.

Re: New to the area, want to get some more experience
I know him personally. I used to hit up Des Moines a few summers back for some racing. Meet him through a few other friends into DSMs. Some of those races in DM in the "warehouse" disctrict where just fucking insane!
