Sad News...

Its come as a shock to me and everyone, but today i found out that one of my best friends and a fellow dsmer Chris Schick passed away in a car accident at 2 AM yesterday coming back from Orange County to his home in Corona. He lived in MN and moved to california a couple months after i had moved. He was a great kid that had really turned his life around and was taken way too soon.
He was a friend of at least a couple people on this board.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
Tom ;_;

Hes the one on the far right, some great times we had, Ill miss ya buddy.

Crazy. He used to crash at my place all the time after he moved out of his place in Prior Lake. I just talked to him a few days ago to catch up on old times. It's hard to believe he's simply not around anymore. I hope his family is okay.

Re: Sad News...

Wow. Schick was a hell of a guy. Always was one to talk for hours. I'm gonna miss him. I too talked to him just last week. Sad times. Any info on the accident?

Pray for him and his family.

Re: Sad News...

What happened was he was driving home late on sunday night around 2am, and fell asleep behind the wheel and hit the back of a semi, then veered off the road and hit an embankment and was thrown from the vehicle.
There was a police car a couple cars back that saw it all. and thats what he told the family.
I was with their family on tuesday, me and his brother and a couple others went to chris' car to get his things, the car was completly tore up. then on the way home from there we stopped at where it happened. if he would have crashed 20 feet forward or backward it would have been easily survivable. but where he hit was a rain trench and large embankment. but either direction was just flat land.
Please drive safe people and if you feel yourself falling asleep pull over and take a nap, its perfectly legal. and wear your seatbelts.
