Video of my 11.53 run
Thanks to AJ for hosting this video for me! It is a video of my 11.53 run down at cedar falls a couple of weeks ago. It took longer for the honda to hit the 1/8 mile than for me to do the 1/4

w00t! Nice video. Keep it up. I don't care if you have to go south to do it, keep it up
BTW, I notice that there was a hell of a tail-wind.

Nice run. I would think there's a little more left in that turbo, but maybe I'm wrong.

Re: Video of my 11.53 run
I think there is alot more left in the car, The shifting looked slow to me, if he could speed that up to maintain momentum/boost Jet could probably knock off a few Tenths for sure.. What was the actual Time slip info?

I hope there is alot more left in that car!! Im pretty sure JET would crush the car if that's all it has.

Re: Video of my 11.53 run
The car has a lot more in it. It hasn't seen more than 27lbs of boost yet. When I had it on the dyno it had fuel issues that wouldn't allow it to run more than 26-27lbs of boost. The car still made 498whp at 26lbs and only 10degrees of timing with the boost creeping from 24lbs.
Since JET fixed the fuel issue I am sure the car is running pretty rich and isn't making the same power. With his MPH I would guess somewhere in the 450 range. The car should make a easy 550whp+ on C16 and a good tune.

Yeah, this thing better have ALOT more left in it! The tune was very rough since I fixed the fuel issue and the tranny is not in good shape, that is why the shifting looked slow. It was very notchy. I can thank Rick's rebuild for that. It was a brand new Shep tranny. The tranny will go back to Shep this winter and the car will be getting a few more goodies, but nothing too major (intake manifold, 3" IC piping, 3" TB, and huge FMIC). I should be maxing out the turbo next year.

Re: Video of my 11.53 run
10 degrees of timing? Jebus, pump gas'll do that to ya though I suppose. Rick screwed with the tranny? Sorry to hear, all the work he's done for me has been good. It kinda seems like half the work he does is exceptional quality and the other half is crap, from what I've heard about anyways.

It wasn't pump gas. It was just knocking so we had to pull a lot of timing out to get it not knock. With normal timing we couldn't run more than 22lbs of boost. More boost equals more power generally so we just took the timing out and added more boost and made the most power with the fuel that it was pushing at the time which wasn't much.

Rick rebuilt and engine for me that crankwalked and killed Shep tranny. Now that I have a new engine I can see that the tranny took quite a bit of abuse from the crankwalked engine.
It was race gas, as the 27 lbs of boost would lead you to believe.
Here is a copy of the time slip.

Thanks. Yeah, I wasn't all that worried about the honda beating me. I made up the half second before the 60' line! I wanted to make sure the RPM were decent to launch with. I shoulda let him get to the 330' mark so it looked cool as hell when I went by him at the 1000' mark going 50 mph faster
