Post Cant get it in gear

Alright, so Super4x4 and i have been having problems figuring out why my car doesnt want to go in gear.

I replaced my Slave, and we've blead it a few times now.

Bernie thinks that there is a possibility that the shift fork is bent somehow. the throwout bearing sounds like its shot but we swapped it out with another and its still making the noise.

I Bought a used clutch and pressure plate from chengsta.

Im running out of ideas, any ideas???

The clutch isn't disengaging (enough). What clutch and PP did you install? Has the fulcrum been messed with? Have someone watch the push rod while the clutch is pushed in to make sure it's moving the fork.

If the clutch hub is sprung was it still in one piece? Meaning, were the springs all there and it wasn't rattling around when you were handling it out of the car? Does the fork move when you step on the clutch?

Re: Cant get it in gear

I had a similar problem like this and took out my tranny 3 times in a few days (I never wanna have to do it again). But is it a new tranny? If it is, try switching out the pivot ball that the holds the fork thingy in place. Mine was too small and that kept the tranny from going into any gear at all. If its the same tranny and you just ran into the problem recently, then it probably wouldnt be the pivot ball.

Re: Cant get it in gear

the clutch and friction is ACT and 2600lb. The piston on the slave is pushing the arm almost to the case up against the rubber.

It is a different tranny, i got it from Nash along with the Xfer case, cables and bracket, Now that i think about it... Do you think the short throw i put in might be a reason, ill check the pivot point.

Suppositly it has an Evo shift fork and it was in perfect condition when he pulled it out, Maybe I should have bought a New clutch kit instead of a used clutch disc and PP.

I didn't say the shift fork was bent. Something is wrong with the clutch fork assembly. Bring those parts so we can get this thing out of my driveway.
