my day at the rock!

I managed to scoot to a 12.27 @ 110.6mph. It was having issues with fuel at the end of the run, I got it too 112mph on 1 run. I had a couple 1.7 60's but mostly 1.8 60's. all i could do on Eagle RS-A's haha, I got 14 runs in. Won the money class. The funniest part of the day is that the only vehicle that DIDN'T break was my DSM. My buddy fryed his VR6 corrado, and my buddy that towed both of us broke his 10 bolt rear on his silverado. overall it was a good day for me. I was happy with the way they ran the show at the rock, non stop time trials till like 1 somthin. got 11 trials in!

Re: my day at the rock!

Wasn't your first run kinda crappy? If I remember, you missed second gear pretty bad and ran a really slow time. I must've missed your run where you ran 12.27. My cousin's friend broke his red civic coupe when he let one of his friends drive it. Blew a piston. His civic was pretty quick also...best time was 12.3 or 12.5. Yeah, what did happen with the corrado. He only got a few runs before I saw them tow it. Yeah, most the quick cars were broken down by 11:30. That quick 240 broke a halfshaft, that CRX had one dead injector, the civic blew a piston. I think the best race there would've been you against that yellow evo. I had my cousin video tape it and then you missed 2nd.

Holy shit, Nice times! Congrats on that... If only you were doing this with a 14b I heard about it last night talking to Drifter Matt. He say you're running 29psi peak fallin to 26psi. Is that on 92, or higher octane?

Re: my day at the rock!

I remember that red hatch, that was fast, he was doing like 120+mph and i saw some 12 second runs, my buddy fryed a piston on his C-rod, he has solar panels and no alt. and his voltage was low, and i think it ran lean, with an 80 shot.... it fryed....

Re: my day at the rock!

nice runs. i was in the green talon.

i ran my car stock at 15-16 psi
i managed to pull a 1.9 60 ft and did 14.6 at 83mph. i let off of after third gear because i was knocking badly. that was my best run.

other than that i rad a whole bunch of 14.7's at 87-90mph with 2.0 60 ft

i also ran a gew 15's cuz i was still gettin used to the car.

but i think i did pretty good overall. i gotta get the lauch better and i have a cheapass bumper to bumper clutch so it was slipping everytime i shifted.

i dont know why my trap speed was so slow. any ideas?

Re: my day at the rock!

So that was you in that green talon, huh? It looks just like my car, except the rims. My trap speeds arent that high up either...best trap was 98 mph.

Re: my day at the rock!

Sounds like you all had some fun regardless of breaking parts. I was gonna go out there, but had some other thing to attend to, anyone going for the 25th? I am thinking maybe, but dont know the plans yet.

Re: my day at the rock!

Is that a fun day or a Sport Compact day? I'm thinking about running my car once again just to see if I can get my launches back up. I've been having 2.2 and up for my 0'60 ft. And to see if I can get my car to run quicker than i did a few weeks ago. So upset about this year's time...fell down my one second!

Mike it's time for you to start looking for 11's. Damn it, I didn't make it!! Good thing jerry ran some good times for me. Ran some good 16's . Well he did break 14's but i'm sure there was a pretty decent size breeze pushing him to get that time. Nice run Mike, wish I could of been there.

Re: my day at the rock!

The guy in that really quick red hatch is this asian guy. He's got a built B16 motor with a turbo on top of that. The Red coupe had a motor that was bored out to 2.1 liters. I'm sure the guy was pissed off after his friend blew his piston. He only had two runs before his friend blew it.
Hmm...Fun day. I might go watch instead. I'm sure I'll run 15's and high 14's again, so I dont wanna run with cars running 13's and quicker. I still dont understand how I got slower compared to last year. It's frustrating!
