Vroom Pop Grriiiind!!!

Hey I got a problem with my 93' TSi. It seems to slip out of 1st when taking off without getting on the gas much. Also when going from 2nd to 3rd sometimes it makes a little grind noise. Not sure if its really the trans slipping or if the shifter itself is messed up.. I ripped the boot off and looked at it and it seems to be cut down at the bend and welded back on.
Anyone know what's wrong? new shifter? new synchros? new trans?

New clutch maybe? not sure.. I had the same problem with first gear in my car but after I put in a new clutch and bled my clutch it pretty much went away. Maybe try bleeding the clutch first and putting some fresh fluid into the system. You might also want to check tranny fluid if you haven't already done that.

Yeah, I'll try to get on that this weekend. Right now i have to do some plug wire shit. Anyone got a pic of how the wires go on a 93' TSi? This wasnt my first wire install and I did one at a time, but then I ran into a length problem so I had to pull 1 and swap and I'm afriad I dont have it set right

It idles a little higher and it shakes at 1500rpm.
Man this sucks. my haynes hasnt come in the mail yet.
