My apologies...
Seems like you guys are really getting the wrong impression of me and I want to clear it all up before you guys think any worse of me.
Street Racing
Street racing has always been an intrest of mine. I know its illegal, and I'm a chicken shit, so personally I would never do it. Why not spend some money and take it to the track? I know how dumb my friends can be with it. To tell you the truth a lot of our racing has gone down hill since we all got busted at Transfer/Vandalia last year. In a way, I know it's pointless. Actually, it is pointless. My boyfriend got his Mustang towed that night, and he wasn't een racing. Being there is just as dumb, which I also know. A lot can happen and people can get in a lot of trouble for it. So yes, it's stupid. But it's an adrenaline rush. I never said it was right, because it's not, and I never said it was smart, because it's DEFFINATELY not. I just said it was fun. But I've been in trouble for it, and I don't plan on racing my own cars. Half of the time I want to leave the races anyways. I would much rather sit at Marathon [Mobile] and look at all the cars. Trust me. I'm not that dumb.
Opinions
I value everyones opinions on here. I really do. You guys a really smart and I'm deffinately not as smart as you. But in return I would hope that you could just accept my opinions. We all have different views on things and that doesn't mean any of us are wrong. Sometimes, I know, I can't always back my shit up, but it's how feel, whether I can back it up or not. And that doesn't mean I'm wrong. But its not fair to me to have everyone constantly telling me my opinions are wrong. Thats just how it is. I don't try to flip out on people or try to argue with people, it just makes me mad when people tell me I'm wrong about opinions because opinions aren't facts, they can't be wrong.
I know my car is slow. I don't think I'm fast, I don't even think my car is cool. Ok, I lied, I think my car is sexy, but I know its slow. I just don't want you guys to think that I'm all cocky because "I have underbodies" Trust me.. I hate them, haha. I don't want to start shit with you guys, it was never my intention. I came on this website to learn more about cars, and especially about DSM's. And i'm sorry I have tweaked a little the last few days, but I just don't like being told my opinions are wrong. If I get facts wrong, you better tell me I'm wrong and that I can handle, but I can't handle being told my opinions are wrong.
Anyway, I'm sorry to the people I've pissed off, I don't usually tweak like this [at least I think I don't] but I'm always being told I'm wrong and it gets frustrating.

Re: My apologies...
This is the first time I can think of that some has started a thread of this nature.
I'm pretty sure no one on the site actually hates you.
We are really mean and hate n00bs
You have to have a thick skin and lip-off back, that might help...or just lay low.

Re: My apologies...
I didn't think you guys hated me. Just thought you guys got the wrong impression of me right from the start and I was starting to hear people say bad things about me. I don't like that. So I had to clear shit up.

Re: My apologies...
I think the old members have owned DSM's so long they got smart and got rid of them cause they realized that was the reason they were broke.... or maybe thats just my problem... I dunno.

its not fun when the cops see you, and yeah, state street is got to be the worst spot ever to race, cause you can see the people lined up from hwy 52.

Re: My apologies...
You could start by learning how to use the shift/caps lock keys.

Re: My apologies...
And also remember the new law that went into affect. Get caught over 100mph, lose your license for 6 months.
And remember, careless driving tickets (what they usually give for street racing, wreckless pleaded down to careless) on your record aren't the greatest when you are looking at getting a new job. And before you say that you won't be driving for your job, I don't drive for my job but they check anyways because if you have to use your car for business purposes you are on their insurance. Their insurance doesn't look very favorably on those kinds of tickets. Some businesses are different from others, but it's something to think about. I have 2 carelesses on my record from street racing (one from Red Rock and one from the highway) so I am speaking from experience. This shit stays on your record for 5 years and is just under a DUI in the eyes of insurance.
Just some food for thought.

Re: My apologies...
Street racing isn't dumb. The kids you are racing against and the spot you're racing in is dumb. I have no idea why a cop should care if decent people are racing. I hav found that if you do it in a good spot and there are people that will be screwing it up or getting hurt, the cops don't care.

We race in hidden places. We don't race where people would get hurt.

Re: My apologies...
I understand, and I'm not trying to blast you or anyone else. But understand that I'm not talking about the two year old who walks down the middle of the street and 2am. (Come on we've all been told how we will kill a little kid at some point). I'm talking about having the right people there and the wrong ones not there. Red Rock was perfect at first. Then we had the "thugs" and truck guys and bike guys come down. The "thugs" were 16 years old wiggers that thought they would come down and sell a rock or two. They brought cops who used the presence of the "thugs" as a foot-in-the-door to come down and search cars. The real problem started with the truck/bike guys. Truck guys are ego filled retards and bike guys are ego filled retards. You put both of these hicks and jocks together and some one dies. I was there for two of these deaths. A thrid happened in the same summer. Now it was said that street racing was outa control and dangerous. Sure it is...
No one was ever hurt during a race! Not in the 15+ years there.
Make sure everyone at your spot, knows someone else there. NO STRANGERS!
Make sure everyone knows how it works. At one spot a few strangers showed up and wanted to race, we let them. They raced and then turned around, with their headlights off and raced back! Towards us and against traffic! We sould have explained how things worked to them before or just told them to watch.
Good Luck to everyone and I hope to see you out there!
