Might be buying a house!!!

Might have found a house resonable enough for me to buy. It's over in St. Paul Park. A friend of my step-dad's is selling their father's house. It needs work but it is really reasonable for the price. The lot alone is worth more than we would be paying for the house and lot.

It has two bedrooms and a basement. It also has a 2-stall garage with parking for more than five other cars. Plus it has a huge front yard.

We have a few ideas for it if we get it. The lot is big enough that we could put another house in front of this one. We were thinking about in about 5 years building a new house (or getting a manufactured home) and putting it in front of the existing house. Then we would demo the old house and fill in the hole. That way we would be able to have a backyard instead of a front yard. We could basically triple our investment by only putting double into it.

We still have to go and look at the inside of it and see if it's worth the work. I think it will be but we still have to look. It's gonna be alot of work, but in the long run, it will be worth it.

Yeah, a house is one of the best investments you can make! Definately do it, unless the house is absolute crap. It doesn't take a ton of work to remodel the inside though.

The garage needs some work on the roof and one of the floors is sagging inside. The owner removed a support wall. This is what we know of right now. Basically a few weekends worth of work to be done. Hopefully we can get into it before winter kicks in.
