Damaged Injector

Imagine an Injector (brand: its half black, half green). Imagine the end of the injector that resides in the intake manifold. There is a small donut that goes on this end of the injector (not the fuel rail o-ring). Below this donut is a plastic tip. Part of the tip is broken off. I would say a good 25-30% of the circumferance. Looking into the injector, the actual spraying device is intake and I assume operationg fine (the cylinder it came from is still intact). Does this need replacement, or can I live with this? Thanks, Kevin.

Re: Damaged Injector

I would get it replaced. Might as well have it looked at & tested to make sure the spray pattern is ok. At the very least, replace it so you don't run the risk of more chunks falling off!

Take it to Manley Cycle in minneapolis, they will take care of it for ya!
