Poker party Saturday March 12th

We will be having a poker party at our house on saturday at 5pm. I will go down tomorrow and try to get the party room. If we get the room we can only be there until midnight. If not, we won't be able to have one here. I'll post up tomorrow if I got it or not.

Directions:

Coming from the north:
1. Take 35W or 35E south to County Rd 42.
2. Take a left on County Rd. 42.
3. Go down to County Rd 11 (Labeled Lac Laven RD [or DR or ave I don't remember]).
4. Take a left on County Rd. 11.
5. Go down County Rd. 11 to McAndrews Rd (County Rd 38) and take a right.
6. Go to the first road on the right and take a right (echo park lane).
7. Go to the first main parking lot on the right (Echo Park Terrace) and turn right.

Our townhome number is 13840. If you can find a parking spot in the lot, take it (as long as it's not in front of a garage). If they are all filled, you will have to park on the street. The street is visible from our windows and not more than 75 feet away from our door. You will see our Talons in front of our door (one red 1g and one maroon 1g). We will have the shop light on in front of the door again.

Coming from the south:
1. Take 35 north to 35E North.
2. Go to County Rd 42 and take a right.
3. Continue on with the rest from number 3 above.

Anywhere else, pm me and I'll give you specific directions from where you are. If you want to do a mapquest search, the address is 13840 Echo Park Terrace, Burnsville 55337.

Well, I'll find out tomorrow if I can get the room. I had a meeting after work today. Terina called and they tried to tell her that we had to be out by 6pm. The rules clearly state in writing that it is available until midnight on saturday. I will be calling down there tomorrow during lunchtime to get it cleared up. I will post when i get home whether we have it or not. I am 99% sure that we can get it. It is hardly ever used and they didn't have anyone scheduled for saturday.

So as of this point, the party is still on.

I get to break out my new chips too!!! BTW, there is one L-shaped couch with a table in front of it. There is also a dining table with 6 chairs around it. Plus room for another card table. If anyone can bring chairs, please do.

BTW, Jet, I just remembered that the last time I was over to your house for cards I left my stool over there. It's a shop stool with flames on the seat. If you could, could you bring that with you? Thanks.

We took it out in the shop, since it is a shop stool. I hope you don't mine too many weld splatter holes in it?

I think I might actually attend this one. Nash has to work all weekend so I doubt we will be going to. Plus I still don't feel the greatest so some relaxing cards might be ok. And plus I want to see Allan get curbed for being a smartass.

If you get here and I'm not here, Terina will point you in the direction you need to go. This will be held by the rental office. You'll have to park out on the road which isn't a problem. There will be plenty of space. The office is just up the road from our house. Our parking lot is Terrace and I believe the rental office is in the parking lot called Circle. They have signs for it on the road. The party room is directly below the rental office. The office closes at 5pm but the door will be open to get down to the room.

Remember, there is also a hot tub, a sauna and an exercise room down there. I'll see if there is a TV or radio down there. Maybe we can get the TV down there with the playstation for those that get knocked out early. Or those that just want to come out to just hang out and watch. There is plenty of room.

I forgot to post this earlier, I have the room from 4pm on. So if anyone wants to come over a little early is more than welcome to. I'll be going down to the room around 4pm to get stuff set up.

As far as my earlier post about chairs, I think we will have enough. Ther are 8 around the table, a couple of regular chairs, the L-shaped couch and 2 barstools.

You guys never answered whether or not you wanted to drink alcohol in there or not.

Bring some stuff to eat or drink if you want. It has a microwave, stove, refrigerator and sinks down there.

No one's mentioned what you are having for a buy-in. That will determine if we will be there tomorrow or not (or at least AJ). So please post up the info.

Whatever it is, I suggest the change game backup for those that drop out of the tourney. At least then they can still play poker and it is more fun. Just a thought.

We could go $10 or $20. We could do a $10 buy in on the first one and then another $10 after that one.

Or we could do a $20 and then a $10. Whatever people want to do. But I think the $10/10 should be ok if the number of people that show up is a good amount.

I like the change idea afterwards as well. That way those who aren't in the tourney can continue to play until we get the next tourney going.

BTW, if anyone is going to be showing up after 5pm (everyone is welcome to come up and hangout or join in on the second tourney), call me before you get there so I can direct you in.

If it's a $20 game to start then I'd be in if Jana puts up the cash. I'm probably playing 1 game and it's a bit of a haul for a $10 spot. lol
