Re: Sell the GSX?
DSM has more potential then an STI. have you seen the Intercooler, first off, why would they mount the BOV to the IC??? Secondly HOW THE FUCK IS THE IC SUPPOSED TO COOL THE AIR WHEN ITS SITTING ON TOP OF A PIPING HOT ENGINE???? Damn austrailians must think that if their toilets flush the wrong way heat must travel down instead of up here.

Subaru is a Japanese company owned partially by Fuji Heavy Industries. I believe GM has a stake in the company too.

You've got to be shitting me... Why does it matter where the BOV is located? As long as it's between the intercooler and the throttle body it'll work just the same. The IC isn't anything to right home about, but neither are most stock ICs. The WRX IC is kind of small but there are plenty of top mount ICs out there to replace it, most of which are bigger than the STi one. The STi hood scoop is HUGE. At speed it directs PLENTY of air into the IC. It also helps cool the turbo as well. And Subaru is a Japanese company, you blithering idiot.
Read it and weep, bitch - http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=717184
A GT35R on a stock STi bottom end. No potential? :lollerskates:

Re: Sell the GSX?
Matt: A bov does not HAVE to be between the IC and the TB. It can be anywhere between the turbo and the TB.

True, but only HORT would put a BOV 10' from the throttle body rather than 10".

Re: Sell the GSX?
I don't post on the board much (or at all) anymore, but I figure I'll toss up some advice to Mr. Geng since me and him go back a few years. Personally, if you have the money, I'd sell the 2G and get the STi if that is what you really want. They are a much nicer DD than the EVO is, and a lot more practical than the Poopra you were thinking about getting. Lately I've been a big fan of the whole newer and more reliable with a warranty thing. The STi is an awsome looking car, I like it more and more everytime I see one.
To Tom: Dude, come the fuck on.....you can't be serious about the whole Australian thing are you?
To John: I assume you know better than putting a BOV so far away from the TB and were just making a point that it CAN be done.
Thats enough for now, I'll talk to you more about it later, Joe.

Re: Sell the GSX?
I say if you are going for a dd and you are not going to mod it much pick whichever car you like better. I personally think STi's look really nice and they are not as popular as gsx's.
As for Tom... he shouldnt be allowed to post here anymore with any "attempted" knowledge. He must really hate Porsche's then because the engine is in the rear and the intercooler is on top of the engine too. Geez what was Porsche thinking??

Re: Sell the GSX?
Or get a regular WRX and use a little of the leftovers for fun stuff. (mods or cosmetics) God knows you'll get bit by the bug w/ a Scooby just like ya did the GSX.

Re: Sell the GSX?
i just really want something nice and sweet, i feel my gsx is losing it's touch since 1) it's small 2) can't fit more than 1 vagina in the car, the damn thing is too small! (refer to reason 1). anywho.. i still don't know what i'd like to get, the STi is nice and such but so are is300s, and then i'm thinking oh oh, what about an EVO, have i had enough of the 4g63 yet, then, i slap myself again and think that i could get a skyline GT-R, but damn... is it worth the extra money?

Test Drive an EVO. If I had the $$$ I would buy one in a heartbeat. I loved it.

I second the S4 idea, they're pretty sweet, and fit four people comfortably.
