Not bad looking, but I'd make it more flush with the dash to give it more of a factory appearance.

I would agree, but I am biased cause I really like the Mach V one. None-the-less its really good work for a rookie fiberglasser. Did you make a template out of cardboard?

No I did not use a template of any kind actually.I really appreticate the opinions. If I made a few more I think they would turn out alot better. The flush, factory look, would look killer. If I ever make another one I will try to make them flush.

Actually, I bet the flush ones would be MUCH easier to make as well. Since you dont have to shape up like you did on the first one, should take less time and less fiberglass. But, you may want to use a template...Its really up to the "artist"

Definately nice work for a novice at glass. Post up your future creations, I like looking at everyones home grown jobs, especially the ones that turn out decent.

I think its nice, but I agree with most of the people here. Making it flush would look so much better. I like how it sits with the other buttons and is hidden. Only reason why I like the A-Pillar ones, is that it's easier to look at....for me atleast. I'll probably switch over to those other gauge pods this summer.

Re: center vent guage pod

When I made that guage pod.I faced those guages like that because I could see them better. There is another center vent out in my parts car.I will see if I can make one flush like you all are talking about. When I get it done I will post the pics of it.Thanks alot for all the opinions.
