What do you plan on doing with the FAA? I finished up my application with them a not too long ago. We'll see if I get hired on. The minnimum I'd be starting is 36k/year, plus they add in the cost of living in that area. So 36k/year would be like somewhere like Yuma where there is a very low cost of living. But I applied in Minneapolis and Phoenix area, so I'd be looking at more like 40k/year. I hope I get signed on, 23, straight outta the military, starting at 40k, can't complain

im going for an aviation maintenance technician. i have to shell out about 700 bucks for the faa exams to get certified for airframe and powerplant.
