Talking Turbo Minivans

So I was out at the junkyard today and saw that they have two of the turbo minivans. One of which they just received and the other has been sitting there a while but looks to be overall untouched. Is there anything usable from these on a DSM or any rare part that would be worth pulling off and selling? :-)

The engines SHOULD be a DSM. Theres a Dodge CaraVan that runs 12s with a 4G63 swap, I cant find that link tho....heres one for size tho...

My teacher has a turbo for his minivan, but that thing is HUGE! I dont know how he is going to get the minivan to spool it at all. Its a Schwitger or something like that if anyone has ever heard of it before.

When I had my astro I wanted to get the AWD front end and tranny/transfer case and also convert my 4.3 into the Cyclone/Typhoon setup. The AWD on those vehicles CAME from the Astro. I just wanted my astro to be a lil quicker. LOL

We need the Hall-effect Pickup. It's a couple of wires w/ a harness that goes into the distributor.

The tranny could be worth while. I dont' think they are worth too much, but if it is a 523 or 568 it is a good tranny. There is a little round plaque that sits on-top of it that says what it is.

As for anything else, I think most of the stuff is fairly easy to come by.

Turbo minivans never came with 523's. The automatics came with 413s, the 89 manual came with a 555, and the 90 came with a 568. Both the 555 and 568 are solid, and sell pretty well in the right circles. The torque converters on the auto minis are popular as they have a higher stall and are stronger than the Daytona/Shadow/etc...

Not the turbos. The later T&Cs did. And the AWD system sucked balls.

Good God u were on top of things, lol.

Imma turn my GSX into a sleeper, hehe, I am gonna replace the GSX decal on the hatch with a GS one, and for my exhaust, well, top secret, but it will look like the GS muffler, with 1 2" chrome tip. And being its a '95, I got that GS spoiler too. LOL.

But when I had my Astro I wanted to run the cyclone/typhoon engine setup, and call my Astro the Hurricane. I also had the idea of smacking a small block 350 inside it, just engine mount swaps, and delete the belt drive fan, and water pump. Change that to electric, and you free up 4" of space, and about 20 horses, and not to mention how much faster it will rev.

Right now, I am having another idea. I heard of, and think they make a bell housing adapter for the mitsubishi mighty max 2.6 liter. I remember reading about they have a kit to bolt a chevy 350 TO the mitsubishi tranny. Now, I am sure you can imagine where I'm going with this. LOL. 4G63s bolt to the 2.6 liter mighty max tranny. SO. Same bell housing pattern?
