what is the best way to clean the haze off my headlight? i've heard of brake fluid a nd chrome polish but is there any other way

I cleaned my plastic front Blinker/Parking lights today according to that post on Tuners. I think the NON popup lights in that article have a glass lens?? Correct me if Im wrong. Thats why they yellow more than the plastics but plastics do get alot of haze from rocks and sand.

There is a big difference. It didnt take long at all with a buffer and some compound. The sandpapaer was 7 bucks because i didnt have any that grit.

Just give it to Steve with the crisp $20 and let him do it. There is almost that much cost involved in doing it as well as the fair amount of labor to buff it out. I don't recommend using an electric buffer at any high RPM as it will burn the plastic and make it worse. I have had good luck using meguires buffing compounds, but they are not cheap.

If you dont have any stuff then it will cost more than steve can do it for.

As for the buffer, Its just an electric car buffer that you dont push down on... I did it very lightly and with a wet mixture -compund- It wont burn as easly... youd have to have a high rpm spin to burn it. But mainly you use a terry cloth to poish it to glassy look.

I never liked how they didnt match my new clear corners but now they do. But I have other plans for my lights now that will be original.

Throw in another crisp $20 and I'll do the taillights as well. I've noticed on most of my cars that they are just as dull as the fronts. They look like new when I'm done.
