get a new gasket from brookdale mitsu,
get some of the gray/silver rtv
get something to off the head seating.

only tighten the bolts to like 3 foot pounds if i remember right.. 18 inch pounds..

other than that.. don't leave any rags in there, or dirt.

Don't forget to replace the little half circle piece

and have patience. there are a lot of bolts holding it down. tighten them in a cross-wise pattern a little at a time. takes a lot of passes to get it tightened all the way down, because the gasket compresses a lot

You dont need RTV for a brand new gasket set. Make sure you get the spark plug hole gaskets along with the outer VC gasket, plus the half circle.

It will cost you a load from mitsu but it wont leak any more

One important piece of advice:

Don't ask me, despite my title I am utterly incapable of replacing a VC gasket without turning the VC into a thousand piece jigsaw puzzle.

Have fun.

It is 18 inch pounds as E mentioned. Don't even think of trying to use a ft/lbd torque wrench on one of these.
