Cool Project WTF

HELLO STYLE

Bought this two weeks ago

2001 Corvette Z06
Speedway white (1 of 352 ever made)
33,000 miles
Owner was typical corvette freak
-came with window sticker, laminated
-came with media/press release book for car
-came with brochures
-made a video for new buyer
-all maintenance records
-seats have been covered all their life until me so they're perfect
MODS:
Harness bar with simpson 4 pnts
K&N drop in airfiter
C6 Z06 shocks
"Dyno tuned" per owner's video
Power antenna from base corvette for ease of using car cover.

Came with all original parts, car cover, extra new in box side duct vents

PLANS:

Drive the heck out of it.

Maybe put a turbo(s) on it. In the front.

LeMans style one piece non flip up headlights, the sleek ones(radio flyer)

Corbeau leather seats. Gotta stay classy.

Interior pic:

Type of turbo setup im contemplating (or single if I can make room) stole pic from upp

Re: Project WTF

In stock form im impressed with
Titanium axel back/ mufflers

265F/295R stock size tires on 17x9.5 and 18x10.5 stock wheels

Torque

CONS:

cheaper gm style interior
Seats have wimpy bolsters
Flip up headlights are dumb.

Wow, that is badass.

How much did that set you back?
When is it getting turbos?
You gonna come turn it around some corners too?

Nice car.

Re: Project WTF

Nice ride! What's with the funky rear splash guards? Those gotta go, along with the body side moldings as others have said.

I wanted to pick up an '01 just for the Speedway White but '01s made me nervous due to the piston ring issue. Did you ask him if he had any oil consumption issues?

Oh, and when you get serious about a turbo kit - there's a guy in Lakeville you should go see and talk to. He's working on this TT F-body now. He does incredible work fabbing up turbo kits and as you'll find out - nearly all the C5 kits suck ass and are way overpriced.

Re: Project WTF

Thanks.

Yes, I was planning on a custom turbo kit. I have a phenomenal local fab guy to turn to. The available corvette kits are a joke, but space is a constraint.

I cant wait to get this thing on the road course!

There iant enough room to do a turbo between the radiator and block like the f body guys do.
