New to the Mitsu Scene
Hey guys, I moved up here from the Milwaukee area last fall for school. I'm fresh to Mitsubishi. Used to be a Nissan guy. Been havin some problems with my car so I figured this would be a good place to ask for help.

Welcome.
Here's all you need to know about Mitsubishi:
Step 1: Buy Evo.
Step 2: ???
Step 3: Profit.

Re: New to the Mitsu Scene
Welcome, and if you want to turbo it (your non-turbo) Jungy is your go to guy on here.
What issues are you having? Those 420a's are unstoppable, well until the water pump goes out. Otherwise, rock solid.

I wish I could turbo it. Need another job first. When I first got it, rear main seal went out. I had that fixed but now there is a slow drip at the back of the engine from a brass plug that I don't think is supposed to be there.
NOW, I need an alignment but the hardware on the control arms are seized up. All shops said they wouldn't touch it.

Re: New to the Mitsu Scene
Welcome! Grab some PB Blaster and soak everything down, like 3 times over a weeks period. Then try and loosen things, if they aren't going decent, then throw some heat at it with a torch.

Re: New to the Mitsu Scene
Or just do what I did on my old 2G and cut most of the old suspension stuff off the car and replace it with all new stuff.

Re: New to the Mitsu Scene
I talked to some mechanics and they said that I'll have to cut through the bushing and the sleeve to get it all apart. Fun :P

Just borrow an angle grinder and go to town. Should take 3 wheels or so to get through the arm, bushing, sleeve, and bolt. As I said, been there, done it.

You've dealt with this before? And you could get an angle grinder in there? The mechanics that I talked to said that I wouldn't be able to get one in there. On the other forums they said a sawzall would be needed with a bunch of blades.
Any tips or advice would be much appreciated.

Re: New to the Mitsu Scene
We've all been there. I don't remember how I did it on my friend's GS but I did. Get a sawzall and go to town. Cut wherever necessary.
