What Do Youguys Think?

I'm starting to put together a list of the things I want to do for this winter. And one of them is the body work.

My car has major rust inside and out - must have been a flood car or something.

it's getting to the point that it worries me especially since I plan on making more HP which means going faster. I just don't know if I can trust the car to not fall apart or something So for safety sake This coming winter I was going to have a body shop fix the rust/Paint the car.

But figure Painting alone will be like $1500, and body work/fixing rust would probably bring it out to like $3500 or so. Plus I'd have to take everything from the interior to the engine out of the car so that they could get it all.


With that said I just came across this car:

Do you think this would be a better route to go? (I hate red, but what can you do?)

or should I just get my current car fixed?

Believe me I'd love a supra but if I got one it would have to look like Shaun's.

and It'd cost me about 30K.


He wants 4500 for the shell. Which is pretty close to the cost of fixing all the rust, and painting my car.

I'd leave it looking like a 99style. but I'd want to paint it red because of the "give me a ticket Red" which I can't afford.

But honestly it's got everything already done that I want done to my car. (99style looks, and 8 point cage, braided fuel lines, etc)

if I include the cost of putting in a cage for my car that equalls the price of he wants for the car.


The concorde is now my car and I've been thinking about selling it. It needs new brakes, and it's getting up there in miles 90K at 100K car company's wouldn't take it because they can't give out loans for cars with over 100K miles. Or at least it's much harder. I'd sell it for about $6000-$5500

Brian- Rust is sucky, Id look for a nice shell like that one and swap over to it... body work sucks.

Think about it, if you figure the extra parts it comes with, you'd be ahead. Then you factor in how much stuff off the white car you can sell, and with some good money management, heck, you might be ballin sometime this summer yet .

i concur, you need that perfect shell. and maybe since it has such a good past it will give you good HP mojo. rust sucks to look at, but its even worse to work on
