2 year build complete, dyno day set!!!
I am finally done with my build and just set up my dyno day at DBperformance in Roger,MN. I am going for 500-550 awhp and is still my DD. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous but I hope she doesn't blow up on me. I am bleeding the brakes and burping the power steering this weekend and she hits the dyno 10/14/11. Anyone have anything I should recheck before going there?
Here are some pictures of the finished product:

Check/fix any boost leaks.
Shane also wrote up a nice checklist that is good to go through.

Re: 2 year build complete, dyno day set!!!
I read through his checklist and is a great checklist. Can't seem to get the feed line fitting on the turbo to seal but it should be taken care of before next Friday. I am going to do about 10 BLT's between now and next Friday to ensure it is sealed up.

Use hairspray on the inside of the couplers/outside of pipes, seals them up, makes them hold good. What's ur setup?

Check your power estimates at the door! 500 on this dyno on AWD is not impossible but I have seen a *lot* of cars come and go on that dyno and not get anywhere close. If you make 400, be happy, be very very happy! Stuff happens. Don't give up. If you run into a limitation, learn from it and come back once you have issues/combo sorted out.

Re: 2 year build complete, dyno day set!!!
Thanks for all the advice guys, I will do all that this weekend. And I ended up buying the fitting from STM along with a coupler I will need to change out before the dyno.
I have a borg s259 ett with a custom twin scroll t4 housing, DP t4 manifold, turbosmart 45mm WG, v-band exhaust, stock 6 bolt rods with evo 9 pistons, JMF race intake mani, VR speed FMIC, built head, a lot of bolt ons

Re: 2 year build complete, dyno day set!!!
Isn't that kind of a small turbo for a t4 housing? Or is the fact it's twin scroll gonna make it not matter? And your biggest hurdle is fuel system, having enough pump to keep up with the demand of 500awhp on a dyno dynamics.

I have a walbro 255 intank and an Aeromotive Tsunami inline pump. The exhaust housing is an .84 AR housing so shouldn't have any problem spooling.

Re: 2 year build complete, dyno day set!!!
Nice setup and turbo choice. I'd bet you could come close to 500hp if you are running 35+psi with that turbo.

Re: 2 year build complete, dyno day set!!!
Make sure your good to go on ignition. I hit 463awhp on db's dyno on 27psi and could go no further because I was breaking up so bad... I wanted 500 on that dyno and can hit that mark but fell short due to 1 little problem. My point is, don't be dissapointed if you fall a little shy of your power mark. Like they said "If you make 400, be happy, be very very happy!"
Good luck and I hope you make you goals.

Re: 2 year build complete, dyno day set!!!
Just as a reference, I was running an S362 (a hair larger than yours) and made on that same dyno:
480 @ 28psi
515 @ 32psi
541 @ 35psi
My setup sounded similar to yours, except slightly larger turbo, and mine was crammed into a T3 housing.

Re: 2 year build complete, dyno day set!!!
FWIW, it took me 29psi on a T4 .68 T67 to make 512. Good luck.

Thanks for all the input guys, I know I will be very happy if she makes it through the dyno session without something going wrong.

Re: 2 year build complete, dyno day set!!!
DO you guys think I should wait until next spring to get my car tuned? I heard that e85 is actually down to e70 already.

Re: 2 year build complete, dyno day set!!!
iirc Shane can tune it fine and when the good stuff comes around your tune will be safe to turn up boost. Also i dont think we get e85 till May. Its all up to you.
