I ended up finding this beauty on craigslist last week and had to go take a look at it. I've always wanted a colt but could never find a clean one. Well this ended up being the cleanest colt I've seen yet! (Besides the rust)
Anyway on to the specs. It's a 1990 Dodge Colt GT with 137k miles. It has the 1.6l but non turbo. (I guess its not very common for a gt to have the n/a 1.6l) It's 5 speed and the tranny shifts like it just came off the showroom floor.
The good:
It has power windows that work perfect
Original cd player
Interior is mint (no ripped seats, missing panels, or stains)
Everything works
Maintenance records since 1992
Engine runs absolutly perfect
Tranny, clutch are perfect. (clutch replaced 15k ago)
Brand new tires/ brakes all the way around
Compression is 175 cold on all 4
Owned by an older lady
The bad:
RUST. Lots of it..
Right rear strut blown
Both front wheel bearings have play
Needs sway bar links
Exhaust is rusted out
Future plans for the car would be to first fix all the rust. Then paint it. I plan on keeping it white, painting the stock wheels black, and roof black. After I'll fix the strut, wheel bearings and sway bar links, along with a new exhaust. Then I'll be throwing a stock dsm turbo setup on it since I have most the parts already.
That's about it since it will be the daily. Now, on to the pics!
