2g 6 bolt Lower radiator hose

I've read 1g hose doesn't fit that well because of the shifter counterweight(I think that's what it's called). 2g hose is obviously longer. Which lower radiator hose will I need? Thanks.

Well the car originally came with a 2g hose, so you might as well use the one it originally had. I've never used 1g radiator hoses on my 2g's.

I used the 1g one and remember having to cut it a bit to fit.

Yep I cut the counter weight off and run a 1g lower hose.

Cool, will cutting off the weight affect anything?

Re: 2g 6 bolt Lower radiator hose

It will just affect how shifting feels, I actually like it without the counterweight.

Make sure you cut enough off so that it doesn't rub on the hose at any point. I also smoothed the newly cut edge just in case, but that's being paranoid.
