Hello All

This is Matt.

I have a 1990 Mitsubishi eclipse. I've been around DSMs for 8 years now. Current mods:

-Stock 6-bolt and headgasket
-arp head bolts
-Holset H1c with a BEP housing
-evo3 exhaust mani
-FP2X cams
-Manley springs
-DSMLink
-EBay FMIC with short route piping
-N/T throttlebody
-3" GM MAFT
-Cold air intake with 3 inch pipe
-Welded motor mounts
-Front antilift geometry
-Lowered 2 inches
-LSD insert
-Clutchnet 6puck clutch disk with SBR 3500 Pressureplate and ACT streetlike flywheel
-water injection
-1000cc FIC injectors
-Walbro 255hp fuel pump
-Lm-1 wideband
-Aeromotive AFPR
-Ebay external 38mm wastegate
-Ebay tubular o2 housing modified for external gate
-3" turboback exhaust with 12" dynomax "glasspack" and resonator tip

I am currently in the middle of swapping all this over to a 1991 awd shell, that I am also converting from an auto to 5speed. I have the linkage from the above car and a 23 spline 1992 5speed tranny and LSD 5speed rear diff.

Nice forum. I look forward to trading knowledge and ideas with you all.

Re: Hello All

Well here's some pics of before and after I pulled the motor and auto trans. The body is in pretty good shape. The body has 103K miles on it. The stock cd player still works!!!

Re: Hello All

Awesome about the stock '90 CD player still working! Assuming its the one with the factory amp, those actually sound really good.

Re: Hello All

I approve of the eBay o2 housing, am iffy about the wastegate, but frown upon the FMIC.

Re: Hello All

Actually the ebay o2 housing doesn't look like it flows as well. The transition from the flange to the pipe on the inside radius is terrible.

The ebay external gate has held for what a year now.!!! Rock solid. Little secret, the TiAL insides fit in. If you're not to close minded to use a wastegate casing from a more cost effective vendor, you'll have the same thing. And hav enough money to buy an o2 housing. Yet, the stock innards of the ebay gate has done fine.

The ebay fmic actually works very well. I don't need water injection for anything under 25psi. My outlet end tank is always cold. Pretty good for a 50-trim flowing turbo. The pressure drop is 1.8-.5 psi. I saved the rest of my money for a fancy intercooler and bought a water/meth injection kit. I'm a nozzle away from whatever intercooler efficiency I want no matter the turbo used.

I've been in dsm's long enough not to follow the herd.

YES! this is the high end shell with all the bells and whistles incuding the factory amp/equalizer. Sounds beautiful for stock 1991 . I remeber having this on my 1992 N/T.

It even has adjustable head rests and the power antena works right Definately an upgrade from my FWD with manual windows and no sun roof.
