thought I would share my good news...

I will be returning home from iraq in early november! I have recently purchased a 2004 volvo S60R. I know Its not a DSM or mitsu, but it is AWD and turbo!!! haha...

Anyway it is very clean and is currently in texas, should be picking it up shortly after I get home. Cant wait to be home and maybe see a couple of you before winter comes and we all go shack up in our fishing homes.

Nice! Congrats and thanks for your service. You'll love the S60R. Out of everything I've owned, that's the car I'd buy for myself to keep. Kind of a classy EVO. The 6-speed shifter does suck though, but I'm sure there's a way to firm that up a bit. You'll love the sport setting on the suspension.

I drove the S60R to a dealership for a customer to get fixed and they are pretty sweet cars actually. Dumb Volvo though for the wiring of the car.

Re: thought I would share my good news...

yeah, I researched the car quite a bit actually.
It was either that, a 540i sport or an S4.

decided with gas this would be a better choice, I like all those cars alot though.
plus its suspension is one of the most sophisticated in the world or so I hear.

I was only in Iraq for 7 months thank god for the marine corps! None of that 15 month stuck in Iraq bullshit like the army.

Oh and yesterday my gf found a townhouse we can rent that I really wanted before I left. So I might even have a new place when I get home! Im sooo pumped to be home for good soon though.

What i find really interesting, and being that im not in the service it would be nice to get some clarification, They let you guys post on the internet in Iraq? Do they give you a computer to use or something? Do they monitor what you say? You would think that they would have a lock down on any forum sites that soldiers could potentially post secure information.
