So hearing about the Terror Attack in Spain, and the stuff that those crazy bastards who did it are saying, I'd like to take this time to publicly thank those of you who serve us in the Military.

My best friend Dave just got back from Iraq, and he is in the 353rd Trans Unit out of Buffalo.

He is a changed man. War is hell. He didn't even fight on the front lines. People shooting at him everyday. His convoy was the only convoy with a 0% Casualty rate (Thank God). He was about 100 yards away when that first big convoy was ambushed. Crazy shit.

There is talk that these crazy islamic militant bastards are plotting something against these great United States. It frankly scares the hell out of me.

I guess this thread is kinda pointless and off topic from cars, but God be with the families of the victims, after all, Spain supported us after 9/11, and we are all human.

I just hope this doesn't lead to another pointless war. God Bless America!

War is no fun....

I've been thru it once...

wouldn't want anyone else to go thru anything remotely close to that...
I will never fight another war unless it comes to my own front door (for example if it came to the US soil i will fight, but i will not go anywhere else)

but one thing i hate to wake you up to..

there isn't just crazy islamic militants.. there are all kinds of crazy militants.. It just got to the point where opressed are tired of being opressed...

I'm sick and tired of Bush's soft voice which he's trying to be like his daddy, using the tragic moments in our history for his own damn campaine.. "Bush aproves campaign" it just makes me sick..

US has always tried to controll the world, try to put "pupet goverment" in the power, the reason they never helped us in Bosnia because they were not able to put a "pupet goverment" in power plus we don't have oil they need so they just put an arms embargo and gave aproval to serbs to slaughter people.. basicly it was If one side can't fight back the war will be over quickly.... Thats what their tought was.. With a plan to let a Muslim country be totaly exterminated.. after all they are only Muslims .. they are all bad.. FUCK THAT!!!

I am just going to keep my mouth shut, but let me tell you one thing that you will most likely NOT understand.

You think you have great press, you think your goverment tells you everything.. well let me just tell you this.... YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!!

JDM, I've known a handful of people that have went and served, but not so many that have actually been activated and shipped off for war. Doing what they isn't easy for anyone no matter who you are.

Enes, anyone with a decent amount of intelligence knows that our government isn't as righteous as they make themselves seem. Someone like myself can only imagine the hell you with through back home. All it takes is a few uneducated opinions to prove that people think it's just opressed muslims that are the bad people in the world today.

This is exactly the type of off topic stuff I like to see. Even though my views on the whole war thing is differant. I believe in quick swift force againts anyone who takes action against us, and don't give them the option or chance to fight back. Then spend more time fighting the war on our land. Poverty, Homeless Issues, Drugs, Guns, and shit that kills true blue ameriacan at a higer rate daily than those issues we currently spend millions fighting. Someone has to live in the street and die by freezing on a cold night in MN cause there is no help for them due to the government wanting to drop another bomb? Fuck that. I say take everyone in the army and lets put an end to gang bangers! Spark some fear into those giving us fear right in our own backyard.

I want to end this with a thank you to those serving in the forces! You have all done so much and deserve a great thanks many time over.

Anyone notice that the attacks in Spain were exactly 6 months away from the attacks here in the US?

Note: God I hope this doesn't get to be a nasty thread as I have seen it happen at other sites. Just remember we all are diferent and have different views on things due to experience, knowledge and such. Please don't bash or get upset at what you see posted from me or anoyone else.

Now for my 2 cents. I served in the US Navy for ten years and was in Desert Storm. Far from enemy lines stationed on a Aircraft Carrier. I saw some shit and met some nice people. I thank all our troops for their sacrifices as I have made them in the past and really understand the implications of them.

I am really upset at everything that is happening with the whole free Iraq thing. First and formost, I am not an expert on the middle east but I can tell you that from what I see the Iraqi people are mis-informaed and always blame the infidels. Now I am not saying the Christianity is the only religion and everyone else will go to hell, but for all that is said about the Koran these people are not following it at all. They get bombed by their own and people die. It's all our fault. That's BS. They get attacked in a Mosque and the old man across the street says he saw us planes dropping bombs. I find that rather biased. They have had such a great pride for their religion for so long and a lack of respect for anyone other than Muslim. It makes me feel like there is nothing of value they can contribute to the human race except fighting, blame and war. There have been battles there for hundreds of years over this type of thing. I wish the romans and crusaders would have never gone to the middle east. I think they were the ones that stirred the hornets nest.

I support our troops fully and commend Bush for what he has done. But I have to condone him for things he has not done, as well as previous leaders. We will never know the truth about Saddams WMD and other things in that area because of our and other governments. We have made many mistakes and will pay for them but I feel that Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Palistine, Isreal, Afganistan and Pakistan are going to be the end of our world if something is not done to calm them down. They have too many radical people that claim to be decendants of Mohammad or have had visions. But on the other hand we have nuts running around in the states as well. I just wish it would all end and people would get along. We have allot of growing to do in this world if we are going to advance into that next level. All People and all countries are respondsible for the earth and human races future. Just make sure to elect the right people that will get us there.

Once again these are my own view points and feelings. Please don't bash. Also I am dislexic so the spelling may be wrong on many things. Sorry.

I think that maybe you watch too much CNN. Calling Iraqis dumb as a group isn't using the best judgement. They are/were controlled by their government for the most part. The reason that you heard about the one guy that said he saw places dropping bombs is because that makes news. For all you know the guy made it up to earn a couple of bucks.

Okay here is exactly what I asked not to happen. I am so sorry for referring to the Iraqi people as dumb as there are dumb Americans to I could be one of them. Please try to understand that these are my own opinions if you feel they are wrong I am sorry but I would appreciate it if you could point me to further information or your own experience so that I may understand the situation better. I am not in Government service, the military or any special CIA group so I only know what i see and read on this. That is how we all learn. Wouldn't you agree? So in closing I am sorry for my statement about the Iraqi people being dumb.

I'm not flaming you, just refering to a whole nation of people as dumb is quite inviting for critisism.

I understand. Thanks. BTW I checked your info page and see you have a laser AWD. Cool. I didn't know they made AWD Lasers. My friend has a 90 Laser RS Turbo but it's FWD. He gets ticked when we play around cause I got AWD.

I find it heartbreaking that we as humans cannot appreciate each other's differences. We as Americans "I" think for the most part own up to our faults, and know that our country isn't perfect. But I was just watching CNN, and saw the South Korean Parliament beating the shit outta each other, and it makes me greatful that I was adopted. Sure, crime is high, taxes are high, stocks kinda suck, Bush has his faults, but this is a pretty damn good country.

And I can't say that it's the Iraqi's people's fault that they hate us. For how many years did America teach their children through behavior and doctrine to hate African Americans. If that were the reason we went to war, to stop evil, and to instill a regime of stable politics and acceptance of all humans no matter what, then fine. But to save me a couple bucks at the pump, no thanks. And it's awful suspicious that Chenney has a lot of shares in Haliburton, and then they win the contract, and then screw the Gov't for 40 mil. They're talking about sending my friend Dave back because Haliburton took their place. Now that's fucked up.

That's my $.02

Enes, would you share what you have gone through? If not, I understand. I would just like someone else's perspective on things.

I actually have a co-worker who met an Iraqis while she was in Greece. He fled the country while still very young to avoid be forced into the military. She was over visiting him when they brought down Saddam was brought down. She said his reaction was one of joy, happiness that there was an end to the punishment. I guess he went on to tell her of things that would happen, of the torture that went on in Iraq.

I am hoping to meet him so I can personally hear what he thinks now that he is in the US. I just hope he is being truthful with my co-worker, and not one of these that just used her to get over here. I guess time will only tell that story.

Anyway, sorry for rambling on. My point was, there very well could/can be nice Iraqis so don't group all of them together. Like you said, that's no different than grouping all of the Americans together and calling us dumb. It's not fair to those of us who are not ignorant.
