Re: Extreme Weight Reduction Evo
Didn't a magazine do something like that to a Sentra SER once to try to make it fast?

There is a story with it somewhere. I think it was bought as a wreck for parts or something like that.

Yea, SCC did it like 2 years ago. Some guy wrote in on how to make his car faster or something like that, but in a way a dumbass ricer would. SCC made this article with a all show no go car and basically chopped everything off but enough frame to hold a seat, the engine, and rear axles. Fucking hilarious.
And yea, that evo in the vid was a wrecked one.

I think it was just a regular sentra. They dropped several seconds off it's 1/4 mile time. It looked like a heap.

Nah, it had the exterior works: blingin' 18s, badass bodykit, and the coolest spoiler ever. I think they actually took off nearly 5 seconds or so with all the choppin' they did.

Re: Extreme Weight Reduction Evo
Yeah, that's what I meant. Stock rims and all were a good change, but once the sawzall started it just got funny.

Re: Extreme Weight Reduction Evo
Found it! Here's the article about the Sentra!
Guess they didn't shave off as much time as I thought I remembered. Still fuckin' funny.

they were 19's and it only dropped 2 or 3 seconds off the stock time. It really was the cheapest way to make it fast though!

Re: Extreme Weight Reduction Evo
The guy who owned that car is a member of GVR4.org. He bought two crashed evolutions and combined the whole mess to make one complete car for about 10k I think. It was a super long build, with lots of man hours, but he did get a super cheap evolution out of the deal.
